“And people have been displaced especially the people of Motot, the people of Pierri, the people of Bulchuol, and the people of Parachuet. So, all these people have been displaced by the fear of these coordinated attacks.”- Information Minister.

Recent attacks might be because of the recent inter communal violence that happened in Gumuruk and Bich-Bich counties of GPAA.

GPAA authorities said that the attacks in GPAA last Saturday by Jonglei armed youths led to displacement of civilians and lost of properties.

The attacked by the Jonglei Youths led to lost of lives of 56 civilians and others have seek shelter in Pibor Town and UNMSS compounds.

John Samuel said the government is slow to intervene despite the lost of properties, lost of lives and displacement of civilians.

“There have been gaps in terms of the National government intervention and these are caused, and we are trying to come back to our peaceful way of living where the government set its mandate of protecting the lives of the citizen.”

“On the other side, the only solution that can help in this situation is the disarmament of the civilians especially across the state and across Greater Pibor Administrative areas.”-John Samuel.
