Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. His firearm, a G3 rifle, was stolen after the shooting. ‎ ‎Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, saying the assailants struck before other officers at the examination center could respond. “We lost one of our officers this morning while he was on official duty securing KCSE exam materials. Arsenal Fans in Kenya Hold National Day Of Prayer

Today being Jan 8, 2023 devoted Arsenal Football Club In Kenya held their Annual day of prayers across the country. 

The day is dedicated for two purposes only: 1. Praying for the success of Arsenal Football Club.

2. Participating in Charitable events and thanksgiving in Churches.

 For example in Lodwar Turkana County Arsenal Football Club attended Deliverance Church where they donated 100 plastic chairs for Sunday school children.

In the year 2010 all Arsenal Football Club fans launch the Arsenal Kenya Supporters club. 

The group conducts charity work, holds tournaments, and manages various development projects within the society. According to the official club website, the group had over 300 registered members in 2017.

On Monday, Arsenal will take on Oxford United in the FA Cup, and later on Sunday, they will play their North London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur.

A Sudanese Arabic newspaper is reporting that Riek Machar has hired Janjaweed as his bodyguards for his return to South Sudan. The Janjaweed have been renamed “Rapid Support Forces” and helped to suppressed the Sudanese protestors who toppled Bashir. Dr Riek who is currently in Khartoum will be accompanied by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of Janjaweed who is currently part of Sudan’s ruling Sovereign Council. The newspaper Al-Intibaha quoting unnamed sources in the Government of South Sudan reported that Riek will return to South Sudan next month to meet with President Kiir. The paper did not specify the date of the meeting.
