Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising.  Investigation is underway regarding the bodyguard of the State Minister of Rural development for shooting an SPLA soldier on Monday Evening.  The body guard is accused of shooting an SPLA soldier on Monday evening. Major Jeremiah Faridiri Otoriang, Police Chief Inspector says three SPLA soldiers threatened to cause havoc to body guards of Ministers of Health and Rural Development leading to shootings, Radio Emmanuel reports. He claims that the soldiers were under the influence of alcohol. Major Faridiri says the body guard is in the police custody for safety awaiting trial. He calls on the public to remain calm because the insecurity in Torit town is something to do with personal cases. The Inspector urges citizens to take control of armed men who are drunk in residential areas to avoid unnecessary shootings.

South Sudan First Vice President Mr. Taban Deng Gai advises the Youth to be productive in order to kill the ongoing corruption in South Sudan. The First Vice President of South Sudan stresses that the south Sudanese youth in general should be more creative and active rather than seeking for short cuts. He was talking during the launch of the Ramciel Logo competition project.  . Taban Deng Gai further talked about the issues of South Sudanese being dependent on relatives who hold big post in the country and ask them to find their own ways by doing so they would surely curb corruption. The Supreme Court Upholds Uhuru's Win

The Supreme Court has upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta's Re-election on October 26 poll. The rulling was made on Monday at 10 am by a six -Judge bench led by the Chief justice David Maraga. The  The Supreme Court has upheld the victory of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat election conducted on Thursday, October 26. Chief Justice David Maraga said the Supreme Court judges unanimously dismissed the three petitions filed to challenge Uhuru's win. Delivering the ruling that took less than 10 minutes, the Chief Justice said the three petitions as filed did not convince the court to nullify, for a second time, Uhuru's win. The court ruled that the repeat election was legitimate and Uhuru was validly elected. Maraga said the judges could not write the full judgement as they had only two days to make a determination

The commissioner of Torit County Fermo Peter Issara says the security situation in the town is calm amidst fear of recent killings. Peter says the murder of a business man by unknown gun men on Thursday is a targeted killing which he says should not scare public security, Emmanuel Radio reports Speaking in Arabic, the commissioner calls for cooperation with security organs to combat crimes in town  The official advices the population to be patient and copy the life styles of other peaceful societies in other countries  While Charles Okullu, the state chairperson for civil society network condemns the killing of a business man in Torit town. Okullu says the security in Torit is frustrating and needs serious attention. Rebel Commander Killed in Rumbek

Field commander of the armed opposition known as Pan African group operating in state is killed and his body was brought to Rumbek Hospital mortuary, Acting Governor of Western Lakes State announced Thursday. Lois Agum Ruben says the late commander, Anyar Anyar, was killed during fighting on Wednesday in Paloch County, north of Rumbek near Unity State, Radio Good News reports. The Acting Governor calls on the late commander’s colleagues and other armed opposition groups to respond to President Kiir’s amnesty and join the peace process. The official did not mention whether some soldiers from the two sides were among the death. Radio Good News could not reach the Pan African opposition group for comment by the press time. Sylvester Stalone Aka Rambo is denying allegation from a girl of 16 years of age who claimed that the actor and his body guard sexually assaulted her in 1986. This is the statement from the spokesperson of Rambo "This is a ridiculous, categorically false story," Michelle Bega, a spokesperson for the  Rocky  star, said in a statement to E! News. "No one was ever aware of this story until it was published today, including Mr. Stallone. At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by any authorities or anyone else regarding this matter." Abyei leaders welcome renewal of UNISFA’s mandate by UNSC

UNMISS soldier in Abyei Administrators of Abyei welcomed the extension of United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei or UNISFA for another six months. They say the presence of UNISFA in the region is crucial to keep law, order and provide security for civil population. Balabak Deng Kuol, Paramount Chief of Ngok Dinka welcomes the renewal of UNISFA mandate in the area. He says UNISFA’s presence in Abyei is crucial because they are the only law keeping agent in the area. Deng says UNISFA can still be there to protect civilians as they patiently look forward for the resolution of the final status of Abyei region. The East African Community of EAC Secretariat announces postponement of Heads of State Retreat on Infrastructure, Health Financing and Development. Heads of State Retreat on Infrastructure, Health Financing and Development has been postponed announces the East African Community Of EAC Secretariat. The retreat was scheduled to take place on November 28 and 29 in Kampala, Uganda. The Secretariat in statement on Thursday says the postponement follows consultations and guidance from Chairperson of the EAC Heads of State President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. It adds that EAC leaders are expected to attend African Union Heads of State-European Union Summit in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire from November 29 to 30. The EAC body says the papers and registrations for participants and exhibitors received will retain an active status until the rescheduled date. The Secretariat greatly appreciates any support and understanding and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.

Northern Bahr El Ghazal people expresses their readiness for the discussion to Join the National Dialogue. The people of Northern Bahr El Ghazal last month were consulted on problem facing South Sudan and the possible solutions, and they responded nicely and cooperated say Mr. Kuol Athiang Mawiel sub-committee Chairperson of the national dialogue.     He further added that the committee did not experience any interference or hostilities from the Northern Bhar El Ghazal States. He expresses happiness for the support Aweil community rendered to the committee during the consultation process.    Stephen Ajongo Akol, a member of the sub-committee, says the process went well. He adds that the people raised fundamental problems facing South Sudan and possible ways for resolving them.
