Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. SSPDF planning a Major Offensive In Bentiu Against the -IO

He said that the so-called #SSPDF division 4 in Rubkona county Pakur area, sent a SSPDF troops to the #SPLA_IO Cantonment site in Pakur under the Cammanship of #Cde_Lok_Tang_Reat proclaimed that the entire territory belong to the SSPDF. South Sudan President to visit Pope Francis on March 15th 2019.

Mark Kidima who is the Nuncio of Pope or the Catholic Church to South Sudan confirms that President Salva Kiir will visit Pope Francis at the Vatican Next Month.  Nuncio in simple word is a diplomatic ambassador or a seer of all Catholic activities in every Country.  He added that the team from South Sudan will be expected in the Vatican city on March 15th  and the president will officially meet the pope on 16th March 2019. He adds that the advance team of the president will reach Rome on March 12, 2019. He has not yet disclosed why South Sudan President Salva Kiir will be going to the Vatican city to meet the pope.  More to follow shortly....

One (1) Killed and Two (2) Critically Wounded In Yambio Club Shootout.

Unknown gunmen killed one (1) man a national security officer and two others seriously injured in a critical condition as per now. Mr.  Enoka the state Information Minister said that "Unknown gunman yesterday hid himself and started shooting at a place of disco. And at the place, a national security soldier called Israel Faustino was shot dead." Mr.  Khamis one of the critically injured person was working as a personal bodyguard to the governor of the state (Gbudue). The other injured was a slay queen identified as Rose who works at the club. So far no one has been apprehended and thorough investigation is underway by the Criminal Investigation Department of Gbudue State.  The motive behind the attack is still unclear and no one has taken responsibility of the attack.  More to follow shortly... 

South Sudan Soldier Kills Wife In Eastern Lakes State

South Sudan People Defense Force Soldier in Lakes State has murdered his wife in cold blood according to the witness and neighbors. Mr.  Taban Abel the State Minister was quoted by Juba Wire as he was he speaking to Eye Radio.  He said that “A soldier from SSDF [last] evening at around 7:30 PM had a quarrel with his wife. He immediately used his gun and shot the woman, killing her instantly.” The neighbors said that the quarrel started first because the wife was unable to provide food for the hungry husband who came from work.  After the quarrel over food the quarrel escalated to the conjugal right when the wife also denied the husband leading to the husband shooting the wife point blank on the spot. It was alleged that the husband who goes by the name Mr.  Gai Bol is also a heavy cannabis addict and also a drunkard this might have distorted his thinking ability resulting to the death of his wife since he was not of a sound mind.  More to follow shortly…

Gathoth Gatkuoth Stages a Coup against Taban Deng Gai

Mr. Gathoth Gatkuoth and Otim Okot today held a press conference declaring that they have deposed Taban Deng Gai as the chair of his faction of splm-IO. That means Taban Deng Gai is no longer the chairman and the leader of the SPLM-IO splinter group that split from the original SPLM-IO of Dr. Riek Machar.  In a statement released by the two and seen by Juba Wire the two said they have written to the president to express that they have lost confidence in Taban and that he should be replaced as First Vice President with immediate effect. Fierce Fighting In Leer Town Between SSPDF soldiers has left a general dead

Fierce fighting among the SSPDF troops in Leer town of South Sudan's Unity state has left a government general dead on Saturday. Nyuon Joseph have told the eye radio. Nyuon added that as the result of that fighting  Maj. Gen. Biel Gai malual was killed and the cause of their fighting in Leer town is return cows which have been looted from civilians and the  argue came between themselves so from there, other soldiers they said those cows should be return to their  owners, some of them they don't want those cows to be  return back to their owners and other started to divided cows on spot. Sweden Consulate Expresses Deep Concern About Rape Cases In South Sudan

South Sudan government and its soldiers have set an unprecedented record in which any government soldier who rapes a civilian can walk away scot free and be protected against any prosecution from the government of South Sudan. Mr. Hans Henric the SWEDEN ambassador to South Sudan has expressed deep concern about the rape cases in the country and the lack of action from the government against the perpetrators of rape. In his own words “I am also concern about many cases of sexual based violence in the country (South Sudan) and these must be prevented and action has to be taken.” He uttered the statement during the launch of the GBV (Gender Based Violence) under the umbrella of UNFPA. “Our programs aim at ending GBV and child marriage. South Sudanese Female Refugees In Rhino Camp Call The Government To Implement The Peace Agreement

South Sudan refugees in Rhino Camp Uganda have decided to make their anger be heard by the world and South Sudan mostly the female refugees. The refugees are calling upon the government of south Sudan and International community to help implement the revitalized peace agreement. The call by the female South Sudanese refugees came after a series of meeting between the refugees and the NGOs in Uganda. The refugees said that they are suffering in Uganda specifically Rhino refugee camp. One of the female undisclosed because of security reasons said that she regrets that most of the South Sudanese children are in the street here in Uganda instead of being in the schools learning and most of them will not be educated South Sudanese citizens in the future. The population of rhino refugee camp in the year 2017 was 90,000 representing a total of about 23,000 Households. Yei River State: European Union Worried About The Clashes.

The clashes in Yei River State has not gone unrecognized by the International Community. The European Union (EU) has decided to make their opinion heard on the current conflict in Yei River State between the three warring parties.  That is National Salvation Front (NAS) led by Thomas Cirilo who is leading the Equatoria community to fight for change in the country. The Second group is the South Sudan Liberation Army in Opposition (SPLMA-IO) group led by Dr. Riek Machar and finally the group in government that is the South Sudan People Defence Force (SSPDF) representing the government.  National Salvation Front (NAS) recently rejected the call by South Sudan President H.E President Salva Kiir Mayardit to end it’s rebellion. South Sudan National Pre-transitional Committee Presents 300 Million Dollars Budget For The Transitional Period

South Sudan Council of Ministers today approved a budget of 300 million dollar that is supposed to facilitate the pre-national and the national transitional committee activities in the and outside the country. The budget is supposed to cover all its activities all various sectors in the country including the security sector and also the national amendment committee which will be working tirelessly to amend the South Sudan committee. The deputy Chairman of the NPTC National Pre-Transitional Committee Mr. Gabriel Changson said that the budget was approved due to the effort raised by the government and this made the NPTC to approve it. The budget will also constitute to the one day salary cut that was imposed to the public servants and the salary will be deducted for up to four months. The Catholic Diocese of Yei Bishop Erkolano Tombe today has declared that there is no peace in Yei River State. Due to the current ongoing conflict between the three arm forces including South Sudan Peoples Defence force (SSPDF), National Salvation Front (NAS) and South Sudan People Liberation Movement In Opposition (SPLM/A-IO ). The Bishop Erkolano Tomber uttered the statement at the comfort of his home on Sunday. The Bishop further calls on the warring parties in  Yei River State  to respect the cessation of hostilities which they signed and stop the confrontation which is currently on going in Yei River County. South Sudan again is under the spotlight for the wrong reason due to the recent emergence of the latest rape allegations levelled against its soldiers. The previous known SPLMA was believed to have committed various atrocities in the Bentiu area and it was alleged that the government soldiers were using rape as a weapon against the uprising in greater Bentiu. South Sudanese businessmen have been ambushed along the Central Africa Republic boarder and were shot dead but a group of pastoralist who operates along the South Sudan – Central Africa Republic boarder point. A South Sudanese Woman from Kalobeyei settlement area allegedly stabbed her husband multiple times to death with a kitchen knife. The woman and the husband recently moved to Kalobeyei Settlement area from Kalobeyei due to the harsh conditions associated with Kakuma Refugee camp. According to the relatives and the neighbours, they said that the husband of the woman is working as a gardener in Kakuma. His work is mainly to maintain the UNHCR compound clean and clear any litter or grass that might be growing in the UNHCR compound. It was not immediately established the reasons why the woman opted to stab the husband multiple times to death. But after further investigation, the Niece of the deceased man who goes by nickname Disco said that the two quarrel over food. Rebel group in South Sudan commonly known as the South Sudan National Liberation Movement ( SSNLM) confirms today that they have released over 3,500 children they had in their custody since the war broke in South Sudan. The children they had in their custody were trained as soldiers in order to help their movement in fighting the government. 48 or fourty children are girls which they used as their wives and the rest were soldiers to fight for them. The Ethiopian military helicopter carrying Ethiopian soldiers crashed in Abyei resulting to death of three peace keepers and scores have sustained injuries. This was one of the report released by UNISFA team working. The Ethiopian Military helicopter was carrying roughly around 25 soldiers and the helicopter was making it’s way back from the war hotbed in Kadugli zone in Sudan. Kadugli is the capital city of South Kordofan state in Sudan. A mother of five children committed suicide in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Yesterday  Kakuma Refugee Camp  came to a stand-still when a mother of five children committed suicide. The woman resides in Kakuma One, Block 12. The deceased woman has given birth to five children. Juba Wire at the Headquarters in Juba decided to send one of its staff who reports cases of incidents happening in Kakuma and Kalobeyei said that the woman decided to end her life after the husband deserted her and escaped to South Sudan for over two years now. Neighbours and family members also added that life became hard for the woman since she had five children to fend for. She had to buy school uniforms for the children and also cloth the children and also food for the children. The ration given in the camp is not enough to cater for them and this are some of the main reason to why she might have opted to end her life prematurely. South Sudan Council Of Churches Reminds The Warring Parties To Respect Ceasefire

Fr. James Oyet the general secretary of the Southern Sudan Council of Churches said that “The truth is, if you don’t compromise for the love of South Sudan, then it is you.”   Fr. James was making this statement in relations to the views of the Southern Sudan Council of Churches. Fr. James Oyet statement came after various reports of ceasefire violation in the Equatoria region at large. The region mostly affected by the violation of the cease fire agreement is the Yei River State and the Amadi States. The decree was that no witchcraft activity will be conducted in the municipality since it is a religious town. He urged that people should instead be focusing on the spiritual nourishment rather than seeking help from the Witch doctors. The top candidate in the 2018 primary leaving examinations has attributed her excellent performance to family and teachers. Meet Lou Buol Mayen who emerged as the top PLE pupil in the recent PLE exams scoring a total of 490 out of 500 marks. The girl who was learning at Marty’s Academy in Jonglei State did the impossible only missing 10 to score a hundred percent. Lou Buol Mayen is 16 years of age. When contacted by the eye radio she said that “It’s not a surprise because I worked hard in my exams, I read a lot and I knew that I would appear on top when results are released.” According to her statement she knew her ability. World Health Organization (WHO) and the South Sudan National Ministry of Health today did unveil a joint campaign for the Vaccination of the Ebola Virus which is now Viral in Yei River State, they also did the vaccination on the staff working tirelessly on the ground to combat the Ebola plague that is very pandemic.
