Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising.   The government of  has conveyed support to the IGAD peace process in Sudan headed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit. This comes as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa, Shumizu Shinsuke, met President Kiir in Juba on Friday.  Speaking in a joint media briefing Ambassador Shinsuke says he consulted with President Kiir on the conflict in Sudan, where Japan called for strict observance of ceasefire and allowing humanitarian assistance to reach the civilians trapped by conflict. The Envoy said the Japanese government has confidence on President Kiir’s mediation efforts in Sudan and pledged to coordinate humanitarian aid to the affected population.   President Kiir on Monday launched a conference on transitional Justice Mechanisms, aimed at establishing the Commission for Truth Reconciliation and Healing. In his keynote address, President Kiir said "we want to establish the truth as the basis for reconciliation and healing, after the violence and destruction imposed upon our people by the two unjustified internal conflicts of 2013 and 2016".  " I consider Chapter Five of the Peace Agreement as very important, because it gives people the opportunity to see the truth, reconcile and heal the wounds of being a victim on the basis of the truth,"President Kiir said. Transitional National Assembly  Cabinet Ministers and Members of the Transitional National Assembly are at logger heads after various Cabinet Minister fail to turn up for questioning whenever they were summoned for questioning at the National Parliament.   On Wednesday this week over 12 Cabinet Ministers refused to turn up for questioning before the Transitional National Legislative Assembly, the Cabinet Ministers were needed to answer crucial questions to matters regarding their dockets.   Here are the names of the Cabinet Ministers who refused to appear before the Legislatures or commonly known ‘lawmakers’. Dier Tong Ngor And WFP Country Director Mary Ellen McGroarty The government of South Sudan contributed a total of $15 Million Dollars ‘fifteen million dollars’ to the World Food Program ‘WFP’. The money was to be used to tackle and respond to emergency situations that might or is currently occurring in South Sudan.   The director of World Food Program, Mrs. Mary Ellen McGroarty made the announcement shortly after a signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the government of South Sudan in Juba on Wednesday.   Hon.
