Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Two (2) Nuer Men Slaughtered In Kakuma 4 (Kakuma Refugee Camp)

Today the Nuer community in Kakuma Refugee Camp are mourning the loss of 2 energetic men who could have help in the nation-building since most of them had a very bright future ahead of them. The men were slaughter yesterday night in Kakuma 4, by unknown people in a cold-blooded style. Rumors have it that the men are believed to be working for the government and they are allied to the current South Sudan First Vice President Taban Deng Gai. The reason for their killing is still unknown but we can only assume that since the Kakuma 4 region is full of supporters Loyal to former South Sudan Vice President Dr. Riek Machar and that might the reason why the two men were murdered. The Kenyan police and the CID have launched a full investigation into the matter right now seeking for the culprits responsible for the loss of life of those two men. More to follow shortly………..

More Than (10) Outstanding Issues Remain Unresolved At The HLRF

More than 10 key talking point still have not yet been tackled at the high level revitalization forum in Ethiopia capital Addis Ababa by our leaders regarding the security and governance. These includes how the government will be  compose, also the power sharing, functions and the participation of all the warring parties in the process. The Transitional Government of National Unity will comprise the President, First Vice President to be nominated by the SPLM IO, The Vice President TGoNU, and the third Vice President to be nominated by other parties in the conflict. Furthermore the SPLM IO of former South Sudan Vice President Dr. Riak Machar, SPLM FD’s headed by Pagan Amum, and TGoNU headed by President Salva Kiir Mayadit will all be represented the transitional government. The committe have been given a deadline of 12 hours to discuss those issues. A final communiqué is expected at the end of the talks.

SPLA-IO and Government Clash in Yei River State Resulting to Death of 11 People

Yei River State today has come under heavy sound of gunfire from both the government and the SPLA-IO forces that are loyal to former South Sudan First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar resulting to 11 people losing their lives and scores injured. The information reached jubawire.blogspot.com through Hon. Huda Micah the Information Minister of the Yei River State. She says the government forces have face a series of attack from the SPLA-IO resulting into the attack. Hon. Huda Micah further added that the government has formed a committee to investigate the matter. But when further asked to identity the people killed whether they are civilians or soldiers but she refuse to disclose the information. So we cannot reach the SPLA-IO spokesperson under the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar to comment on the matter. More to follow shortly………….

Unknown Gunmen Kidnapped World Vision Staffs and Some Civilians Along Tambura-Yambio Road

Mr. Anikumbo Mathew the Tambura State Information Minister has confirmed that a convoy of more than three World Vision Vehicles and other private business vehicle have fallen into an ambush and unknown number of people have gone mission along the Tambura-Yambio road.  This is what he had to say. “I confirmed the incident which took place yesterday involving three vehicles with World Vision with World Vision staff and also some nun staff and other two vehicles, making a total of five, which went into ambush yesterday [Monday] around Yangiri area. The unknown gunmen believed to be rebel from the bush decided to abduct all the people, the passengers and took them to the bush”  he said. The Tambura State Information Minister is urging for the citizens to remain calm as the government are now in full control of the situation and more security personnel along the highway. South Sudan political parties have mix reactions over the reunification of the SPLM announced on Monday this week. There is a mix reaction from the South Sudan Political Parties regarding the re-unification of the SPLM that was announced this week on Monday. Mr. Deng Bior Deng the Secretary-General of the National Alliance believes that the SPLM re-unification is just a political game by the SPLM in Juba since the re-unification is not even inclusive. He further added that the re-unification should be be inclusive after First Vice President, Taban Deng Gai announced early this week his reunification to the SPLM in the government.
