Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Seventeen inmates have been set free from  Juba Central Prison  after release bond was paid by legal aid organizations. The colleague at SSBC TV Mr. Chol Duang reported to Facebook  Sleuths  of the alleged disappearance of his colleague.  "Journalist Garang John has disappeared since 11:00AM today; his contacts are unreachable and whereabouts unknown. I will share with you names and last contact of the person who called him before his disappearance,"-Chol Duang posts.  Garang's last FB post was today at 10:11AM an hour before his alleged disappearence. Efforts to reach out to Garang's family or police for comment was futile during the publication of this post.

  Northern Bhar El Ghazal State lost two of its local officials after they were shot dead by suspected Miseriya Miliaria.  The two killed are: Santino Akech Angok a local Administrator and Arol Yai his Deputy, they were killed in Warguet Town. Hon. Kiir Your Lual the County Commissioner of Aweil East County said that a police officers was also wounded during the attack. “It was yesterday (Friday) morning, at around 7 AM where an attack occurred in a place called Warguet Town closer to the border with Sudan, resulting in the killing of a local government officer and his deputy and also two other persons got injured,” said the commissioner.
