Jonglei Governor Under Fire By The Law Makers For Failing To Contain The Border Clashes

 


The lawmakers are not happy with Jonglei State Governor Denay Chagor for failing to manage the current conflicts in Jonglei and GPA.

The lawmakers faulted the two Administrators for failing to coordinate with one another to solve the security issue across their borders..

Bol Joseph Again one of the law makers said that; “you fought until you had an administrative area, but still you could not control your people,”-Bol Agau.

Bol Agau urged that it was wrong to grant autonomy to Pibor if they cannot contain the insecurities in their region. 

“You cannot claim a land that you want to rule when you are not controlling your people.” “Why do I have GPAA?”-Bol Agau. 

He also added that Governor Chagor should have addressed the insecurities in his State and alleged that the governor is not conversant with his people of Jonglei.

“He does not raise this with the central government, not even to know where his challenges are. “People want to live in denial, refusing to accept reality,” Bol Agau.

Law maker Bol Agau further said that: ”why would we have a governor in Jonglei State who does not control his people; people don’t listen to [him]?”-Bol. 

Law maker Juma Zakariah, said the the two warring communities should have held those responsible accountable.
