Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. His firearm, a G3 rifle, was stolen after the shooting. ‎ ‎Turkana County Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi confirmed the incident, saying the assailants struck before other officers at the examination center could respond. “We lost one of our officers this morning while he was on official duty securing KCSE exam materials. Breaking News: President Kiir Has Relieved The Minister Of Defence and Veteran Affairs Angelina Teny And The Minister Of Interior Mohamoud Solomon

President Kiir has released both the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs and the Minister of Interior. 


Namely, The relieved High Ranking officials are, Angelina Teny who is the wife of SPLM-IO Leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny and the Minister Of Defence and Veteran Affairs. 


Angelina Jany Teny is a South Sudanese politician who served as Minister of Defence since March 2020. She was previously a state minister of Energy and Mining in the Khartoum-based Government of National Unity between 2005 and 2010. 


Mohamoud Solomon Agok is the current interior Minister. Why sack him, last at least 56 people have been shot dead 35 wounded and other two children abducted after armed Murle youth from greater Pibor Administrative Area stormed Baidit an area in Jonglei State.


President Kiir also issued a similar decree switching the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs to the SPLM and the Ministry of Interior to the SPLM-IO.

A Sudanese Arabic newspaper is reporting that Riek Machar has hired Janjaweed as his bodyguards for his return to South Sudan. The Janjaweed have been renamed “Rapid Support Forces” and helped to suppressed the Sudanese protestors who toppled Bashir. Dr Riek who is currently in Khartoum will be accompanied by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of Janjaweed who is currently part of Sudan’s ruling Sovereign Council. The newspaper Al-Intibaha quoting unnamed sources in the Government of South Sudan reported that Riek will return to South Sudan next month to meet with President Kiir. The paper did not specify the date of the meeting.
