 Wounded soldiers lie in bed at the general military hospital Juba.  ‎Malakal, the capital of Upper Nile State, is on edge as wounded soldiers from recent clashes in Ulang County arrive in the city, sparking fear among residents particularly from the Nuer community.  ‎ ‎The fighting, which began in February, involves the White Army, a militia group largely composed of Nuer youth, and government troops. ‎ ‎According to Maj. Gen. Breaking News: President Kiir Has Relieved The Minister Of Defence and Veteran Affairs Angelina Teny And The Minister Of Interior Mohamoud Solomon

President Kiir has released both the Minister of Defence and Veteran Affairs and the Minister of Interior. 


Namely, The relieved High Ranking officials are, Angelina Teny who is the wife of SPLM-IO Leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny and the Minister Of Defence and Veteran Affairs. 


Angelina Jany Teny is a South Sudanese politician who served as Minister of Defence since March 2020. She was previously a state minister of Energy and Mining in the Khartoum-based Government of National Unity between 2005 and 2010. 


Mohamoud Solomon Agok is the current interior Minister. Why sack him, last at least 56 people have been shot dead 35 wounded and other two children abducted after armed Murle youth from greater Pibor Administrative Area stormed Baidit an area in Jonglei State.


President Kiir also issued a similar decree switching the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs to the SPLM and the Ministry of Interior to the SPLM-IO.

Mass Defection of Opposition Forces (SSOA) Threatens South Sudan's Fragile Peace Deal ‎

‎ A group SSOA defectors.  ‎More than 2,300 security personnel formerly aligned with the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) have defected to join the ranks of the government under President Salva Kiir, in a development that could significantly destabilize the 2018 peace agreement. ‎ ‎According to Samir, one of the commanders leading the defection, the group includes 105 army officers, 650 police officers, 668 prison service officers, 400 wildlife officers, and 506 fire brigade officers. ‎ ‎“We renounce all duties assigned to us under SSOA and are now under the command of the president,” Samir declared.  ‎ ‎He called on other opposition forces across the country to follow suit, in what appears to be a strategic consolidation of power under Kiir. ‎ ‎David John Kumuri, the public relations director for the National Security Service, welcomed the defectors and assured them of their safety.  ‎ ‎He said that, “this move demonstrates a commitment to peace and national unity...

Adler and the closure of its embassy in Washington, D.C. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Amb. Apuk Ayuel Mayen labeled the reports as “entirely without merit,” confirming that Ambassador Adler remains fully accredited and in active diplomatic engagement with Juba.  The new Foreign Minister, Monday Semaya K.
