South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. Three National Ministers, accompanying President Kiir during his visit to Aweil survived a road carnage in Aroyo Aweil. 


The three National Ministers involved in the road accident have been airlifted to Juba for Medical Treatment. 


National Ministers involved in the road accident namely are: Rizik Zakariah Has; Minister of Wildlife, Conservation and Tourism, Madut Biar; Minister of Transport, Nadia Arop Dudi; Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage. 


The full details and the cause of the accident are still not clear, and other top Government Officials were also injured. 


Northern Bahr El Gazal State Minister of Information Hon. William Manyuon confirmed the incident saying that the other officials sustained only minor injuries. 


“They are fine. They have been airlifted from Aweil to Juba, with minor injuries.” William said
