Dr. Bol Mel  ‎ In a significant political development, Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan and Chairperson of the Economic Cluster, has officially been sworn in as the First Deputy Chairperson of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM). ‎ ‎Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony in Juba, Dr. Bol Mel described his new role not as a personal honor, but a solemn "call to duty." He pledged to serve with loyalty, discipline, and dedication under the leadership of SPLM Chairperson and President, H.E. Minister Of Transport, Minister Of Wildlife and Minister of Culture Among The Top Government Officials Involved In A Road Accident In Aroyo Aweil

Three National Ministers, accompanying President Kiir during his visit to Aweil survived a road carnage in Aroyo Aweil. 


The three National Ministers involved in the road accident have been airlifted to Juba for Medical Treatment


National Ministers involved in the road accident namely are: Rizik Zakariah Has; Minister of Wildlife, Conservation and Tourism, Madut Biar; Minister of Transport, Nadia Arop Dudi; Minister of Culture, Museums and National Heritage


The full details and the cause of the accident are still not clear, and other top Government Officials were also injured. 


Northern Bahr El Gazal State Minister of Information Hon. William Manyuon confirmed the incident saying that the other officials sustained only minor injuries. 


“They are fine. They have been airlifted from Aweil to Juba, with minor injuries.” William said
