‎Health, Relief, and National Security Shake Up Signals New Political Realignment ‎ ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a wave of presidential decrees, reshuffling leadership in three of South Sudan’s most sensitive institutions: the Ministry of Health, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), and the National Security Service (NSS). ‎ ‎The decrees, announced on State-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening, have already ignited heated political debate. President Salva Kiir Mayardiit, called out to the people of South Sudan living in diaspora to be united as elections looms. 


President Kiir made those remarks while in a meeting with the South Sudanese Community in New York City United States of America, the president also informed them on the current situation back home. 


The South Sudanese in the United States of America all assembled in New York City to discuss the volatile situation back home. 


President Kiir also, encouraged the diaspora community to be patriotic and portray good image of South Sudan to the world, he also urged them to invest in South Sudan. 


The leader of the South Sudanese diaspora community in America, Mr. Nanhom Aleu Jok said that, the diaspora community is calling for a timely conduct of elections and they are ready for the election in 2024. 


They called for the timely conduct of elections next year, in order to establish democracy and set up strong system of governance.


The Diaspora community also accepted to contribute to the country’s development by pooling resources and investing in various sectors of the economy.
