‎Health, Relief, and National Security Shake Up Signals New Political Realignment ‎ ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardit has issued a wave of presidential decrees, reshuffling leadership in three of South Sudan’s most sensitive institutions: the Ministry of Health, the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC), and the National Security Service (NSS). ‎ ‎The decrees, announced on State-run South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening, have already ignited heated political debate. Family of the young man shot dead by SSPDF officer last week in bor is demanding justice

The young man was shot dead last week by an 'SSPDF' South Sudan People's Defence Force officer attached to the 'NSS' National Security Service in Bor, Jonglei State last week part one and the family of the deceased is demanding Justice. 


Mr. Michael Buol, the representative of the deceased family while addressing the media, he expressed sadness over the killing of his nephew named: Akoon Deng Anyith and demands justice to be delivered immediately. 


Mr. Michael Buol narrated that, the deceased was walking on foot with his friends then the accused officer splashed them with water while driving a car.


“Firstly, regarding the incident, the deceased was not driving. He was footing with his friends when this officer who was driving a car splashed water on them,” Michael narrated. 


Mr. Michael Buol further said that, the late Akoon reacted immediately, then the officer, stoped the car he was driving and fought the deceased and shooting him point blank with a pistol and fled the murder scene. 


“When the deceased reacted to this, the officer stopped, parked his car, and came and fought him subsequently shooting him dead with a pistol and then fled the scene.” Mr. Michael explained. 


The deceased family representative concluded by saying that, the deceased just got married and they calm as they awaits the law to play it's course and the culprit to be punished accordingly. 


“We are devastated. The deceased just got married. Again, this National Security Service (NSS) officer was the one who splashed water on the boys instead of apologizing when he stopped, he chose to fight,” Buol said. “Our stance as a family is that the case should go on and there should be no interference from anyone.” Michael concluded. 


Civil Society Activist in Bor Mr. Daniel Deng Anyang, condemned the action of the officer and called for civil education to road users.
