President Kiir, Museveni Strengthen Bilateral Ties, Pledge Regional Stability

President Kiir, President Museveni and VP. President Salva Kiir Mayardiit today on Wednesday arrived in Moscow ahead of bilateral talks with the Russian President Vladimir Putin. 


The two leaders will discuss prospects for the development of relations between Russia and South Sudan in various areas, as well as regional and international issues.

During the meeting the Principals will also discuss lifting of arms embargo and targeted sanctions imposed on individuals in South Sudan. 


The President was welcome by Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andrey Rudenko Yurevich and a group of African ambassadors and diplomats in Russia.

This visit aims at deepening diplomatic relations and explore other areas of cooperations on trade, investment opportunities and security.
