The officials of Central Equatoria State local government assured the natives of Kajo-Keji that the government will handle the boarder disputes with Uganda, they also asked the natives to remain calm.
In a security meeting chaired by CES Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony yesterday, the meeting was dominated by agenda of land conflicts happening in Juba County and other parts of Central Equatoria State.

Juba County Commissioner, Hon. Charles Wani, said both countries accepted to form a committee to address and resolve the boarder disputes, communal clashes and abductions.
“The border issue of Kajo-Keji County with Uganda has become a national issue. We are just calling our people in Kajo-keji to remain calm because we are forwarding the issue to the government of the Republic of South Sudan,” Wani said.

“The committee is going to be formed between the government of Uganda and the government of South Sudan to look into that matter.” Wani said.
Recently, the government was forced to swap 13 illegal Ugandan loggers with a Kajo-Keji local chief who was arrested in Arua District.

In the past, there had been similar accusations of illegal border crossings and settlements between Kajo-Keji and Moyo and Yumbe Districts in search of resources.
Kajo-Keji County, is an administrative area in Central Equatoria State, South Sudan.
Kajo-Keji County, in the year 2013 the County experienced large-scale violence that was triggered by the national conflict.

However, the second outbreak of conflict in 2016 had a big effect on the County. The county has seen a lot of people move away and feel unsafe, which has made it hard for people to make a living there.
People who had to leave Kajo-Keji mostly went to Uganda. Before 2016, there were always fights between different groups, and it wasn't always clear why.
Due to a lack of police resources and good legal infrastructure, it has been hard to solve problems through the legal system.
