Six Underage Children Caught Going From Torit To Juba On Foot In Search Of Job

Girls ranging from 11-15 years have been caught by Torit Authority going to Juba on foot in search of job.  

The six underage girls were caught in Lowoi a Torit West Payam. 

The alleged girls also claimed that they have been mistreated by their parents and had no one who cares nor wanted to take care of them. 

Torit Police Spokesperson Lt. Mathew Ochan said that police are currently searching for the parents of the six girls.  

The six underage children are currently being held at Torit Central Prison and they are being provided care and support by the Child Protection Unit.  

South Sudan Law does not allow minors to travel without proper reason.
