Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. South Sudan Youths Warn The Government Over Lack Of Employment Opportunities



South Sudan youths are bitterly complaining about lack of job opportunities and they might opt to take the matter into their own hands if the government remains silent. 

Some of the young men and girls from Western Lakes State complain that some of them who have qualifications lack job opportunity in the state.

The Youth insisted that they are now educated but no chance was being given to them both at the national and humanitarian level.

One of the Youths Mr. Makuer Mabor Advised the youths to opt for manual work to sustain themselves or even agriculture.

South Sudanese Youths have been denied work mostly with the humanitarian agencies and those agencies employ only foreigners.
