South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. Western Lakes Governor Swore To Improve Security In His State

Mr.  Mahmud Solomon the newly appointment governor of Western Lakes State has assured the people of peace and security and also development.  
 
The Governor spoke during a rally at Rumbek.  He told the people not to fear but embrace better and Greater day coming.  Since through security everything will be fine.  

Mostly he was not happy with the current trend in revenge killing which has already destroyed the image of the state.  

Mr.  Solomon Was appointed on 20th May, 2019 by His Excellency Salva Kiir the South Sudan President.  Mr. Solomon replaced Brigadier General John Deng Mamer. 
 
Mr.  Solomon was accompanied by senior members of the government. He also asked the people of western lakes state to work as a team to move the state forward in terms of development.

Thirty Five (35) People Confirmed Dead In Kapoeta Flood.

Governor of Kapoeta Stats Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore confirmed to the media that after a heavy rain in Kapoeta on Tuesday 35 people lost their lives.  The same rain hit various parts of South Sudan like Duk in Jonglei whereby people also died.   Hon. Lobong said that "We lost about 35 people during the heavy rains that hit several counties in the state on 10 June, so this is what happened here."  He added that the flood destroyed people homes and even destroy the bridges.  “We are trying to create awareness among our people to control water-borne diseases,” he said. The flood affected the market in Kapoeta since it cleared all the food store in Kapoeta State. He added.  Finally he is calling out to the humanitarian organization to come and rescue his people plus the government too since many people are dire need of help.  More to come shortly....
