Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Western Lakes Governor Swore To Improve Security In His State


Mr.  Mahmud Solomon the newly appointment governor of Western Lakes State has assured the people of peace and security and also development.  
 
The Governor spoke during a rally at Rumbek.  He told the people not to fear but embrace better and Greater day coming.  Since through security everything will be fine.  

Mostly he was not happy with the current trend in revenge killing which has already destroyed the image of the state.  

Mr.  Solomon Was appointed on 20th May, 2019 by His Excellency Salva Kiir the South Sudan President.  Mr. Solomon replaced Brigadier General John Deng Mamer. 
 
Mr.  Solomon was accompanied by senior members of the government. He also asked the people of western lakes state to work as a team to move the state forward in terms of development.
