General Gabriel Jok Riak Does Not A Child In The Army.


Family members of General Gabriel Jok Riak have dismissed fake news circulating on the social media and in Ugandan gossip newspapers linking a man dressed up as a Brigadier General to South Sudan’s Chief of Defence.

The man in question is “Brown” aka Paulino Akoon Yel Dut. He is the “spokesman” for South Sudan United Front / Army faction of Garang Achiec Bol Agiu.

Akoon Yel Dut is from Northern Bahr el Ghazal Region. He studied in Gulu, Uganda according to those who know him and has zero military experience. He is not related to General Gabriel Jok Riak in any way whatsoever according to the family.

The family said General Jok does not have any  children in the military service or who hold senior army ranks.
