Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. President Kiir has returned to Juba after addressing an SPLM rally in Western Bahr El Ghazal State capital, Wau.


He was received by Vice President Hussein Abdelbagi Akol and other senior government officials.

 

The President was also received by SPLM leaders, supporters from Central Equatoria State.


During his visit in Wau, the capital of Western Bahr Ghazal State, he was received by tens of thousands of people. 


Ten of Thousands of people converged Way Stadium to celebrate the sole nomination of President Kiir as SPLM Presidential flag bearer in the 2024 general elections.


SPLM members and enthusiasts came from the four States of Bahr El Ghazal and Abyei Administrative Area.


President Kiir while in Wau gave a speech saying that, "I am deeply touched by your endorsement and your continued support to our historic party gives me confidence that we will stand together as we go towards elections next year" said Kiir.
