President Salva Kiir Mayardiit has called for global Humanitarian support to the people fleeing the conflict in Sudan. 


The President spoke after getting a briefing on the current humanitarian situation by Minister Albino Atak Akol on Monday.


Minister Atak said the northern States of the country are now experiencing economic difficulties, as hundreds of returnees and refugees continue to enter the country from Sudan.


He said two hundred thousand people have so far crossed to South Sudan from Sudan since the eruption of conflict in Khartoum on 15 April 2023.


South Sudan is due to host a humanitarian conference to rally the support of donors to pledge their support to the welfare of the refugees and returnees.
