A woman in Lakes State, reportedly gave birth to a baby with a full set of teeth earlier today at the Nyang Primary Health Care Center (PHCC) in Yirol East County. 


The extraordinary occurrence has drawn significant attention from the locals. 


The newborn's arrival has sparked discussions and debates surrounding this unusual phenomenon known as "natal teeth." According to scientific literature, natal teeth occur in a small percentage of infants and are characterized by the presence of teeth at birth. It is believed to result from the underdevelopment and premature eruption of teeth during the prenatal period.


Traditionally, such an event held great cultural and spiritual significance, particularly among the Jieng community in South Sudan. Births with natal teeth were often considered sacred and were associated with blessings and good fortune. They were viewed as an indication of the child's strength and special qualities.
