A South Sudanese student, Biem Mabek Lang, was brutally murdered in a shocking incident that has left South Sudanese community in Nairobi Kenya in shock and disbelief.

The 28-year-old student was shot and killed by two masked armed men in Kenya, under mysterious circumstances.

During the shooting incident, the assailants did not steal anything from Biem. This only means one thing, it was an assassination carried out by the assailants.

Biem, a first-year student at Daystar University's Athi River Campus, was known for his jovial nature, friendly demeanor, and humble personality.

The crime was committed when Biem was approached by the assailants inside his business premise and fatally shot him at point blank. The young student succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Biem, in addition to his studies, had opened a liquor store near the university campus as a means to support his education. The computer science student was known for his hard work and determination. His life was tragically cut short, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew him.

Following the devastating incident, the family is appealing to the South Sudanese government to exert pressure on the Kenyan authorities to swiftly apprehend and bring to justice those responsible for this heinous act. They seek answers and closure, hoping that the culprits will face the full force of the law for their terrible crime.

The murder has been reported to both the Kenyan police and the South Sudanese embassy in Kenya.

The death of Biem Mabek Lang is not only a personal tragedy for his family but a collective loss for South Sudan.

Biem was a son of former deputy governor of Unity State, late Mabek Lang.

  1. The Killing of South Sudanese who ventured into Businesses in Nairobi is not new. Since 2015, 11 South Sudanese lost their lives. Kenyans only love South Sudanese when they are idle and spend money. Enough is Enough let the two Governments address this insecurity once and for all.
