Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. The Speaker of Parliament Jemma Nunu Kumba on Monday delivered four Bills to President Kiir for final endorsement.


The bills that have been passed by the National Assembly include; National Archive and Record Management Bills 2023, National Public Health Institute 2023, me Convention on Cluster Management 2023.


The President is expected to assent the bills into law as required by the constitution.


A bill is a legislative proposal before Congress. Bills from each house are assigned a number in the order in which they are introduced, starting at the beginning of each Congress (first and second sessions).


A Bill is also a proposal for a new law, or a proposal to change an existing law that is presented for debate before Parliament.
