President Kiir, Museveni Strengthen Bilateral Ties, Pledge Regional Stability

President Kiir, President Museveni and VP. President Kiir on  Wednesday arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo to attend the Sudan Neighbors Summit to discuss ways to end the Sudan crisis.


The summit, which convenes on Thursday, aims to "develop effective mechanisms" for peacefully resolving disputes through regional and international efforts.


The President is accompanied by Presidential Security Advisor Tut Gatluak Manime, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Dr. Barnaba Marial Benjamin and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deng Dau Malek. 


The meeting in Cairo will be attended by heads of state and governments from South Sudan, Egypt, Chad, Central Africa, Ethiopia and Eritrea.
