South Sudan Produces 170,750 Barrels Of Oil Per Day, Says Minister of Petroleum

South Sudan Petroleum Minister Hon. Puot Kang, said that the nation currently produces 170,750 barrels of oil per day. 


Hon Puot Kang, while speaking during a meeting with the Committee On Petroleum In The National Parliament, provided the information about the country's oil. 


"As of now, the total daily gross production of crude oil in RSS as of 5th April 2023 is 170,750.00 barrels per day." Kang said. 


According to Global Oil Prices per barrel South Sudan earns a revenue of over $400 Million per month. 


This revenue is critical for the country's economy, which heavily relies on oil exports to finance its budget.


During the meeting, the committee on Petroleum discussed ways to increase the country's oil production and conducted a Comprehensive Environment Audit. The Ministry also tabled recommendations on how to improve crude oil production.
