Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Pibor Local Officials Received 6 Abducted Children From Jonglei State

Local Officials from Greater Pibor Administrative Area received 6 Abducted children from Jonglei State.

The abductees includes 5 children and a mother who were rescued from Bor and Uror Counties, Jonglei State information Minister John Samuel said. 

GPAA Information Minister confirmed that they have received the abducted children an a mother and arrangements are underway to unite them with their families. 

“The government of Jonglei State, through our partners, on Friday handed over to us 6 persons who were abducted from Gumuruk during the recent violence,” Kelang said. “They include a mother with her 2 boys and a girl and other two boys. They are still in our custody and will be reunited with their loved ones soon.” Kelang said. 

Uror County Commissioner Mr. Machot Kenyjak said that he is ready to recover any abducted person from his county and called out to his counterparts the GPAA officials to reciprocate too.
