Two SSPDF Soldiers Died In a Car A Accident

In Lakes State a pickup truck carrying 6 SSPF soldiers from Malek Payam overturned killing two soldiers on the spot. 

Police Spokesperson, Lt. Col. Moses Machuoc Bol while speaking to the media today said that the accident happened near Denghial and two soldiers died on the spot and 4 others sustained serious injuries. 

“In the morning, there was a military pickup carrying about 6 soldiers that got involved in an accident due to speeding while traveling from Malek Payam to the state headquarters,” he said. “The accident claimed the lives of 2 SSPDF soldiers and 4 others sustained injuries and they are receiving treatment at the Rumbek State Hospital.” Lt. Col. Moses said. 

Col. Moses said that the badly damaged vehicle was taken to the governor's compound and investigation has been launched to know exactly what happened. 

"I appeal to SSPDF soldiers not to allow soldiers without proper driving licenses to get behind the wheel." He said. 

The admin of Rumbek hospital said that the four soldiers with serious injuries are currently undergoing treatment. 

“We are now treating the soldiers who were injured but those with minor injuries have been discharged,” he said. “We have a few left here and they are stable.”
