Nasir Trial Adjourned as MP Gatwech Lam Puoch Begins Defense ‎

‎The Special Court handling the Nasir incident has adjourned proceedings until Monday, June 15, after the third accused, MP Gatwech Lam Puoch, began presenting his defense. ‎ ‎Gatwech, a member of the National Legislative Assembly representing Nasir County, rejected allegations linking him to activities related to the Nasir incident.  ‎ He told the court that his actions were part of his constitutional duties as an elected representative and were aimed at reducing tensions in Nasir and Ulang counties. ‎ ‎The lawmaker said a press conference cited by prosecutors was intended to encourage dialogue, address rumors, and help prevent conflict rather than incite violence.  ‎ He maintained that he was fulfilling his responsibility to represent and speak on behalf of his constituents. ‎ ‎Gatwech also argued that the Nasir crisis should be viewed within the wider context of challenges facing the implementation of the 2018 peace agreement, citing concerns raised by various political act...

Three (3) Business Men Killed Along South Sudan and Central African Republic Boarder



South Sudanese businessmen have been ambushed along the Central Africa Republic boarder and were shot dead but a group of pastoralist who operates along the South Sudan – Central Africa Republic boarder point.

The businessmen were from Tombura State and the Tombura State Minister of Information Mr. Anikumbo Mathew Emme said that the alleged business men from Tombura State were transporting their goods from Tombura State to Central Africa Republic.

The State Minister of Information is calling upon the Citizens/ Netizens of Tombura State to be very vigilant. He also urges the South Sudanese community to stop being idle but rather embark in business that can help them develop the Nation. He singled out Agriculture to be very good and prosperous business that South Sudanese should embark on.

Tombura State commonly known as Tumbura was part of the Gbudwe State and it was by then a County before being turned into a State by the decree of His Excellency President Salva Kiir Mayardit. Tombura State boarders Democratic Republic Of Congo commonly known as (DRC)  and also boarders Central African Republic (CAR).

The State has witnessed various ravages by Lords Resistance Army (LRA) which hails from Uganda has terrorize the area and the civilians for long.  The census that was carried out in the year 2010 was that it contains 10,000 households.
