Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Fierce Fighting In Leer Town Between SSPDF soldiers has left a general dead

Fierce fighting among the SSPDF troops in Leer town of South Sudan's Unity state has left a government general dead on Saturday. Nyuon Joseph have told the eye radio.

Nyuon added that as the result of that fighting  Maj. Gen. Biel Gai malual was killed and the cause of their fighting in Leer town is return cows which have been looted from civilians and the  argue came between themselves so from there, other soldiers they said those cows should be return to their  owners, some of them they don't want those cows to be  return back to their owners and other started to divided cows on spot.

South Sudanese are the leading Miraa (KHAT) Chewers in Kakuma Refugee Camp.

Kakuma Refugee Miraa chewers initially are people from the Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya origins but recently South Sudanese Miraa chewers have overtaken both Somalia and Ethiopia to become the number one Miraa Chewers in the camp. According to one of our correspondent who has been in the camp for more than (15) fifteen years he said that “The number started increasing from the year 2010 and now in the year 2019 the number is too high.” By 2 PM that is exactly the time, Miraa (KHAT) is brought to the camp via Lodwar . South Sudanese Children will be seen around 1PM loitering Somalia or Ethiopian Market waiting for Miraa.
