SPLA-IO Accused of Detaining Civilian Boats, Demanding $4,000 Along Sobat River ‎

‎ Boat ferrying civilians  Nasir, Upper Nile State  ‎Authorities in Nasir County, Upper Nile State, have accused forces loyal to the Sudan People’s Liberation Army In Opposition (SPLA-IO) of detaining civilian riverboats and demanding ransom-like payments of up to $4,000 from traders and passengers along the Sobat River. ‎ ‎According to Nasir County Commissioner James Gatwech Joak, several boats traveling from Matar in Nasir County to Malakal were intercepted by SPLA-IO soldiers in Yakuach, an area in Nyirol County, Jonglei State. ‎ ‎“Our traders paid local taxes to SPLA-IO in Mandeng before setting off. But on reaching Yakuach, they were detained again and told to pay an additional four thousand U.S. dollars,” Commissioner Gatwech said. ‎ ‎He explained that the detained boat operators and traders were reportedly held for four days while armed men demanded more payments.  ‎ Some of the passengers were women, children, and patients traveling for medical treatment in Malaka...

SSPDF planning a Major Offensive In Bentiu Against the -IO


This statement was released by Col. Philip Jima. He said that the so-called #SSPDF division 4 in Rubkona county Pakur area, sent a SSPDF troops to the #SPLA_IO Cantonment site in Pakur under the Cammanship of #Cde_Lok_Tang_Reat proclaimed that the entire territory belong to the SSPDF.

According to the SPLA-IO Cantonment site area operation Commander, Cde Lok Tang Reat says, the unagreed sharing of the military cantonment area making by the SSPDF, is totally and incompetent and  seem to be the violations of cessation of the hostilities and will wage the heavy breathing at the Khartoum Peace Agreement (#KPA) if without a watchful eye from the Peace mediators.

We are hereby appealing to the International Communities although the regional blocs so-called AU and IGAD to be watchful and come up with an immediate investigation against the Juba regime for resuming the anti-peace campaign that will keep on derailing the signed peace consensus in Khartoum, and should withdraw back in 48 hrs, it's an emphatically mandatory as a SPLA-IO Cantonment site.
