President Kiir, Museveni Strengthen Bilateral Ties, Pledge Regional Stability

President Kiir, President Museveni and VP. South Sudan President to visit Pope Francis on March 15th 2019.


Mark Kidima who is the Nuncio of Pope or the Catholic Church to South Sudan confirms that President Salva Kiir will visit Pope Francis at the Vatican Next Month. 

Nuncio in simple word is a diplomatic ambassador or a seer of all Catholic activities in every Country. 

He added that the team from South Sudan will be expected in the Vatican city on March 15th  and the president will officially meet the pope on 16th March 2019.

He adds that the advance team of the president will reach Rome on March 12, 2019.

He has not yet disclosed why South Sudan President Salva Kiir will be going to the Vatican city to meet the pope.
