Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. South Sudan National Pre-transitional Committee Presents 300 Million Dollars Budget For The Transitional Period



South Sudan Council of Ministers today approved a budget of 300 million dollar that is supposed to facilitate the pre-national and the national transitional committee activities in the and outside the country.

The budget is supposed to cover all its activities all various sectors in the country including the security sector and also the national amendment committee which will be working tirelessly to amend the South Sudan committee.

The deputy Chairman of the NPTC National Pre-Transitional Committee Mr. Gabriel Changson said that the budget was approved due to the effort raised by the government and this made the NPTC to approve it.

The budget will also constitute to the one day salary cut that was imposed to the public servants and the salary will be deducted for up to four months. This means that all the public servant salary will be deducted up to a duration of four months.

The NPTC National Pre-Transitional Committee is a body tasked with the power of ensuring that all activities of the pre-transitional government goes smoothly. They are also supposed to engage the people of South Sudan effectively and inclusively implement the revitalized peace agreement.

Finally Mr. Changson is also calling the international community to support the budget which was raised and approved by the committee. The budget can help bring peace to the country and also cater for the all the logistical issues that might raise he said.
