Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. South Sudan Soldier Kills Wife In Eastern Lakes State

South Sudan People Defense Force Soldier in Lakes State has murdered his wife in cold blood according to the witness and neighbors. Mr. 

Taban Abel the State Minister was quoted by Juba Wire as he was he speaking to Eye Radio. 

He said that “A soldier from SSDF [last] evening at around 7:30 PM had a quarrel with his wife. He immediately used his gun and shot the woman, killing her instantly.”

The neighbors said that the quarrel started first because the wife was unable to provide food for the hungry husband who came from work.  After the quarrel over food the quarrel escalated to the conjugal right when the wife also denied the husband leading to the husband shooting the wife point blank on the spot.

It was alleged that the husband who goes by the name Mr.  Gai Bol is also a heavy cannabis addict and also a drunkard this might have distorted his thinking ability resulting to the death of his wife since he was not of a sound mind.

Kakuma Refugee Miraa chewers initially are people from the Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya origins but recently South Sudanese Miraa chewers have overtaken both Somalia and Ethiopia to become the number one Miraa Chewers in the camp. According to one of our correspondent who has been in the camp for more than (15) fifteen years he said that “The number started increasing from the year 2010 and now in the year 2019 the number is too high.” By 2 PM that is exactly the time, Miraa (KHAT) is brought to the camp via Lodwar .
