‎JUBA, October 17, 2025 

‎South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit, in his capacity as Chairman of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), convened a high-level meeting with senior party officials on Friday to review the current political climate and outline a fresh roadmap to strengthen the party’s influence ahead of the anticipated elections.

‎

‎The meeting brought together top SPLM figures, including:  

‎

1. Secretary General Prof. Paul Logale Jumi, 

‎

‎2. First Deputy Chairman Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel, 

‎

‎3. Second Deputy Secretary General for Administration and Finance Baba Medan Kalonyeli.

‎

‎According to Prof. Logale, discussions focused on revitalizing the party’s structures, enhancing unity among members, and aligning the SPLM’s political, economic, and social agenda with the country’s broader development goals.

‎

‎He reaffirmed the leadership’s commitment to fostering party cohesion and advancing national progress for the well-being of the South Sudanese people.

‎

‎The SPLM, which has led South Sudan since independence, continues to position itself as a central pillar in the country’s peace and development process.

South Sudan Parliament Summons Kuol Manyang and Nhial Deng Because Of Boarder With Kenya

South Sudan Parliament Summoned Kuol Manyang Minister Of Defense, Nhial Deng Minister Of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Kapoeta State Governor Luis Lobong over Kenya boarder issue.  This came after some members of parliament claimed that the Kenya government launched 65-kilometer road rehabilitation project last month. The three government officials were summoned over a project by Kenya to construct a tarmac road pass Nadapal up-to Kor Nakodok.   The Kenya road project is about 70 kilometers and it goes 12 kilometers deep inside South Sudan territory.  Apart from the broads Kenyan troops have encroached into South Sudan territory making it hard for the natives to take their cattles for grazing.   Kapoeta State Member of parliament Hon. SPLA-IO and Government Clash in Yei River State Resulting to Death of 11 People

Yei River State today has come under heavy sound of gunfire from both the government and the SPLA-IO forces that are loyal to former South Sudan First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar resulting to 11 people losing their lives and scores injured. The information reached jubawire.blogspot.com through Hon. Huda Micah the Information Minister of the Yei River State. She says the government forces have face a series of attack from the SPLA-IO resulting into the attack. Hon. Huda Micah further added that the government has formed a committee to investigate the matter. But when further asked to identity the people killed whether they are civilians or soldiers but she refuse to disclose the information.
