South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. Central Equatoria Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has today appointed Flora Gabriel Modi as the Mayor of Juba - becoming the first woman to serve in the position since independence. 


CES Governor Adil, has also appointed Mogga Franco Wani as First Deputy Mayor for Administration and Finance, Thiik Thiik Mayardit as Second Deputy Mayor for Social Service, and Emmanuel Juma Diyo as Third Deputy Mayor for Environment and Waste Management.

The governor of Central Equatoria State Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony also, suspended the the Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency Hon. Moro Jenesio. 


Juba City, is the only  capital city of South Sudan and largest city in South Sudan.

Juba city, is situated on the White Nile and also serves as the capital of Central Equatoria State. 


Juba City, is the world's newest capital city to be elevated as such, and had a population of 525,953 in 2017.

Russia to Open Embassy in Juba: A New Chapter in South Sudan–Russia Relations
