THE PRISON DIARY --- On February 17, 2023 as recorded in my prison diary (the foils), the main door of our ground prison was opened sometimes after the midnight – can’t be sure of the exact time since we had no watches inside the cells.

The first door leads to cell number 1 on the right which is reserved for female inmates. There were exactly 3 ladies locked up inside there. We were all locked up in our individual cells which begin from cell number 2 to number 13.

Few inmates allowed to sleep at the corridor of our ground prison were told to move behind. Eleven soldiers went into the female cells, three landed on one lady inside the cell and the two other ladies were dragged to the corridor along our doors and raped.

What followed that night was horrible. We could hear the ladies pleading for mercy from their captors but the lustful armed guards gave such plea deaf ears.

There were two male inmates in cell number 2 and we were also two in our cell number 4. One of the inmates in cell number 2 shouted at the soldiers to stop what they were doing to the ladies and we also joined in the noise.

Every male inmate who felt the situation these ladies were going through shouted with loud voice.

There was nothing much we could do apart from hurling condemnations with our because our cells were locked and some of us were chained.

One lady could be heard telling the rapists that she is sick but one of them who was already on her while others wait in the queue responded, “de chloroquine,” suggesting what he was doing on the lady was a cure for her sickness.

This scene went on for quite sometimes but we kept shouting at them and even banged doors.

The lady who was being raped inside the cell groaned until she collapsed … One rapist was heard asking his colleague by the name Bol if he was done changing his engine oil in Juba Arabic and I quote, "intehed min taghyir alzayt yaa Bol."

After they had all gone through them, the soldiers later pushed the ladies back to their cell 1 and locked it up.

They took their times at the corridors as they smoke weed and other ciggies before getting out. We thought they were gone but they returned with sticks and guns.

They opened one cell at a time, tortured the inmates and move on to the next. We were all left in pain that night just because of shouting at the soldiers.

Similar incident occurred on February 18th 2023. The mobile security car code-named “FLY DUBAI” brought five girls and one gentleman caught at a night joint.

They were hurriedly dumped into the prison and armed security guards later landed on them. They too were badly raped.

This scene was also horrible. The gentleman who was arrested with the ladies was thrown into cell number 5. His girlfriend was among the five ladies raped that night.

On Sunday (February 19th) early morning, the next day, the soldiers called out the five ladies and loaded them into their “FLY DUBAI” car and sneaked them out of the Blue House facility.
