South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. Breaking News: Legendary Wrestler, Deng Dau aka Deng Moradong killed, with seven 7 others dead in Jonglei State.

The legendary wrestler Deng Dau was today killed in a bloody attack that resulted in the dead of seven 7 others in Jonglei State. 


The incident started, after youths from Hol, Duk County and the youths from Ayual had a misunderstanding.

The incident erupted into a fierce gun fight which claimed three lives in Twic East, Jonglei State, at the weekend was caused by a fishing net, an official has said.


On Sunday, three men identified as Deng Chol, Atem Deng, and a well-known wrestler – Deng Dau Muoradong – were killed in the intercommunal clashes.

Hon. Jacob Chol, Twic East County Commissioner said that, a fishing net for one of the gentleman from Duk got burnt and that ignited the incident. 


“Fishermen from Twic and Duk share Got-Akuat fishing area. Yesterday, a fishing net for one of the gentleman from Duk got burnt and that caused the incident,” Jacob said.

Hon. Jacob explained that, it all started with a quarrel between the two parties, with the interventions of the elders the quarrel was resolved. 


However, the aggrieved fishermen later returned to the scene and started opening fire and killing the three men and injuring others.

“Youth from Duk County were not convinced and satisfied with the intervention made. They picked up their guns and returned and started opening fire people.” Jacob explained. 


Hon. Jacob, further said that, the incident is not politically motivated and called upon the government to bring the culprits to the book.

Thirty Five (35) People Confirmed Dead In Kapoeta Flood.

Governor of Kapoeta Stats Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore confirmed to the media that after a heavy rain in Kapoeta on Tuesday 35 people lost their lives.  The same rain hit various parts of South Sudan like Duk in Jonglei whereby people also died.   Hon. Lobong said that "We lost about 35 people during the heavy rains that hit several counties in the state on 10 June, so this is what happened here."  He added that the flood destroyed people homes and even destroy the bridges.  “We are trying to create awareness among our people to control water-borne diseases,” he said. The flood affected the market in Kapoeta since it cleared all the food store in Kapoeta State. He added.  Finally he is calling out to the humanitarian organization to come and rescue his people plus the government too since many people are dire need of help.  More to come shortly....

Salva Kiir Women Hospital Receives Solar Donation From South Sudanese In Diaspora

Salva Kiir Women Hospital in Rumbek receives solar donation from South Sudanese in Diaspora mostly from Australia.   The chairman of South Sudanese in Diaspora Australia section said that the solar is to be used mostly in the maternity ward and also to fight darkness in the maternity ward.   The solar will be used to light the incubator in the maternity ward and all be used in theatre during operation.   Dr. Ali Dhamir gives his thanks to the Rumbek community in diaspora for their act of kindness.   Dr. Ali who is also the Medical Director in the facility said that the Solar's will help save many lives in Rumbek.  Australia has a high number of South Sudanese.
