Police Officer Shot Dead, Gun Stolen While Guarding KCSE Exam Papers in Turkana ‎

Turkana County Police Commander, Samuel Ndanyi. ‎A police officer was shot dead in cold blood on Monday morning while guarding Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination papers in Turkana County.  ‎ The tragic incident occurred at Kang’atotha area, Turkana Central, where officers had been deployed to provide security during the ongoing national examinations. ‎ ‎According to police reports, the slain officer was part of a team assigned to escort and guard examination materials at a local school. Witnesses said the attack happened shortly after dawn when unknown assailants ambushed the officer. President today on Friday met with the leaders of government financial institutions, and they discussed economic recovery program. 


The leaders of the financial institutions who met president Kiir were: Dr. Barnaba Bak, Minister of Finance and Planning and Dr. James Alic Garang, Governor of the Bank of South Sudan, to discuss the current State of Economy.

In his remarks, the president encouraged the government financial institutions leaders to work together. 


The president also, encouraged the government financial institutions to improve and stabilize the economy of the country for the wellbeing of it's citizens.

Hon. Bak said that, the president was briefed on their recent participation at the World Bank Group-IMF conference in Morocco. 


Minister Bak further added that, the conference was centered on building economic resilience and securing transformational reforms in the member state.
