President Salva Kiir Mayardiit Briefed on Primary School Examination Results: A Step Forward for South Sudan’s Education ‎

General Education Minister and President Salva Kiir.  ‎President Salva Kiir Mayardiit has been briefed by the Ministry of General Education and Instruction on the latest Primary School Examination results an important step in assessing the progress of South Sudan’s education system. ‎ ‎The official release of the results is expected next week, but early insights shared during the briefing paint a mixed picture. On the one hand, there’s reason for optimism.  ‎ ‎The Ministry reported improved performance in literacy and numeracy in areas like Central Equatoria, Western Bahr el Ghazal, and parts of Upper Nile.  These gains reflect recent efforts to strengthen the education sector and expand access to quality learning opportunities. ‎ ‎However, the challenges remain significant. Abyei Ethiopia Military Helicopter Crash: 3 Dead on spot

The Ethiopian military helicopter carrying Ethiopian soldiers crashed in Abyei resulting to death of three peace keepers and scores have sustained injuries. This was one of the report released by UNISFA team working.
The Ethiopian Military helicopter was carrying roughly around 25 soldiers and the helicopter was making it’s way back from the war hotbed in Kadugli zone in Sudan. Kadugli is the capital city of South Kordofan state in Sudan.
Gebre Adhana Woldezgu the Major general and also the acting head of mission said that they are yet to establish the reasons by behind the crash of the military helicopter and that thorough investigations has been launched.
The main reason to why the Ethiopian Military helicopter was coming back from Kadugli is as to the agreement of the UN Mission in Sudan. They are to monitor and verify the redeployment of any armed forces in the hotly contested Abyei Area.
Abyei area is an area being contested by both Sudan and South Sudan and it was accorded by the special administrative status “Abyei Protocol.”
Abyei area is the area of the nine Dinka Ngok Chiefdom. In 2005, a multinational boarder commission established Abyei to be those of Kordofan but a dispute continued between Sudan and South Sudan leading to the revised boarder which has now been endorsed by all the disputing parties.

    Sudanese should not dream that way the issue is big and know human being around this universe will agree to give South Sudanese home to Sudan know it is impossible and to Ethiopian we are sorry let your soldier rest in peace

Top Opposition General Joins Government Forces in South Sudan

‎A senior opposition army officer has left his group and joined the government army in South Sudan. Brigadier General Adnan Alex Boboya, who was part of the SPLA-IO (the main opposition army), said he has decided to support peace and work with the South Sudan People’s Defense Forces (SSPDF), which is the national army. ‎ ‎Speaking in Yei River County, Gen. Boboya said, “I am doing this for the good of my people and my country. It is time for peace. Mass Defection of Opposition Forces (SSOA) Threatens South Sudan's Fragile Peace Deal ‎

‎ A group SSOA defectors.  ‎More than 2,300 security personnel formerly aligned with the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) have defected to join the ranks of the government under President Salva Kiir, in a development that could significantly destabilize the 2018 peace agreement. ‎ ‎According to Samir, one of the commanders leading the defection, the group includes 105 army officers, 650 police officers, 668 prison service officers, 400 wildlife officers, and 506 fire brigade officers. ‎ ‎“We renounce all duties assigned to us under SSOA and are now under the command of the president,” Samir declared.  ‎ ‎He called on other opposition forces across the country to follow suit, in what appears to be a strategic consolidation of power under Kiir. ‎ ‎David John Kumuri, the public relations director for the National Security Service, welcomed the defectors and assured them of their safety.  ‎ ‎He said that, “this move demonstrates a commitment to peace and national unity...
