Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. The government of the Republic of South Sudan and Shandong High-Speed group of companies signed two agreements at the state house on Monday for the commencement of road construction projects that will kick-start within 14 days. The First Undersecretary in the ministry of Finance and Planning, Biel Jock and Li Chao, the General Manager of Shandong High-speed limited, signed multi party agreement between the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Petroleum and Shandong high speed for the funding of the project. Hon. Michael Makuei Branded The Other Opposition Groups As 'Parasites'

On Friday South Sudan Minister of Information, Michael Makuei has cautioned the large number of opposition members living in some of the most expensive hotels. The expensive Hotels in the country to prepare for their own survival in May after the transitional agreement comes into force. Hon. Makuei who spoke to the press on after their cabinet symposium said, colloquially, that the government will not continue to accommodate those parasites in two months time. South Sudan National Police Arrested 53 Drug Dealers In Gumbo Juba

South Sudan National Police in jubek state today arrests 53 South Sudanese youth of both sexes in Gumbo Juba. The Youth Arrested are believed to be commonly known as the niggas who has been terrorizing Gumbo. The Niggas were arrested yesterday during an operation at gumbo, the operations was intended to round up wrong elements in the community says one of the police officers who spoke to Juba Wire. The Juba Police department got a tip that people vending marijuana and other related drugs in some of the lodges in Gumbo which prompted police to carry out normal operation for security concerns. Fighting Erupts In Wau State

The State Minister Is assured the Wau Netizens/Citizens that the government is in control of the situation that happened in Kwarjina Wau. The State Minister who is identified as Madut Chan said the situation was volatile but the government has managed to curb it after Cattle Keepers and Farmers fought.  The fight happened at Kwarjina leading to scores being displaced from their homes and countless also injured. Mr.  Michael Madut is calling for humanitarian team in the country to support the people who are currently  displaced from their homes by giving them shelter and some basic humanitarian assistance. Lol State: Ere County Officials Complain About Lack Of Teachers In The County

Lol State in South Sudan for a very long time has lacked teachers to teach their children.  A case scenario is the one of Ere County which is also part of the greater Lol State,  the County officials finally decided to make their voices heard. Mr.  Abakar Dukumi the head of Ere County said that "We are facing a severe shortage of teachers. We lack facilities but the school is operational despite the challenges." The commissioner insisted that with no teachers in his County means a catastrophe for all of South Sudan . Apart from lack of teachers the County also lack trained Medical Personnel this leads to high level of mortality in the County.  He his calling out to the donors and the National government to come and help his County from the looming catastrophe . Ajongo became the second female pilot in South Sudan when she graduated in August 2018. How many more will follow in their footsteps? Gen. Gathoth Gatkuoth Demands Taban Deng Gai Resignation

Gathoth Gatkuoth who was the former Minister of Labour and Public Service and a member of SPLMA-IO loyal to Taban Deng Gai stated that he and the other members have lost trust in Tabs Deng Gai and he is urging Tabs Deng Gai to resign Immediately. “We have made what is called the vote of no confidence against Gen. South Sudan President Worried About The Recruitment Of New Soldiers By The Opposition Forces.

Opposition holdout groups currently recruiting new soldiers in South Sudan has been warned by President Salva Kiir Mayardit. South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit said that the move by the opposition forces is a violation of the revitalized peace agreement in the country.  President Kiir said those words during his tour of the Greater Bahr Al Ghazal region specifically in the town of Wau. He said that "the opposition groups are trying to recruit soldiers to increase the number of their forces and take control of new territories. These two things violate the agreement." He further added that “Don’t accept the recruitment exercise. A few days ago we saw Gen. Gathoth Gatkuoth remove South Sudan First Vice President Taban Deng Gai from the team, this means Tabs Deng Gai and Gen. Gathoth Gatkuoth team are at loggerhead. The situation in Juba now is very volatile forcing South Sudan President Salva Kiir to rush to Juba abandoning his tour to try and salvage the situation between Gen.  Gathoth Gatkuoth and Taban Deng Gai team.   Last weekend South Sudan Vice President Taban Deng Gai had ordered an immediate arrest of Gen. Gathoth Gatkuoth along with his other turncoats in Juba. However, the manoeuvre to arrest Gen. Gatkuoth was challenged as unconstitutional, and for that reason, Gen. Gatkuoth vowed to fight back should anyone attempt to arrest him or any member of the new group. This evening, a one of the soldier loyal to the newly unlawfull FVP Gen Gathoth Gatkuoth Hothnyang, named Capt. Pal Chuol Kueth, shot dead in Juba at Atlabara area after their vehicle was trying to across the Taban Deng Gai's surrounded residential area. According to the sources say, a heavy military operations underway drilled by Hoth forces to carry out a revenge attack to the Crown Hotel, Gen. Hoth says, if Cde Taban chooses a war more than to  leave the office in peace, we must force him to live in exile. South Sudan Government Asked To Complete Boarder Issues Before May

Mr.  Rajab  Mohandis the Executive Director in charge of Governance and Organization body said that states number and boundaries should be expedited before the transitional government has been fully formed in May 2019. He further reiterated that all forces should be at their cantonment sites which means the government should identify the cantonment sites immediately.  Most importantly the boundaries should be demarcated so that it will help South Sudan as a sovereign State be able to identify structures and develop fast.  The cantonment sites is very important since it will help the soldiers from meeting each others and avoid provocation from the various forces.  The executive director was quoted when he was being interviewed on Anisa Radio. South Sudan is currently  the leading country because of the highest number of children killed every year surpassing Democratic Republic of Congo and Somalia.  UNHCR and UNICEF latest report indicates that South Sudan has resulted to over 1.1 million refugee population. The report further shows that the highest population in Uganda is made up of the children making a total of 60%. SSPDF planning a Major Offensive In Bentiu Against the -IO

This statement was released by Col. Philip Jima. He said that the so-called #SSPDF division 4 in Rubkona county Pakur area, sent a SSPDF troops to the #SPLA_IO Cantonment site in Pakur under the Cammanship of #Cde_Lok_Tang_Reat proclaimed that the entire territory belong to the SSPDF. According to the SPLA-IO Cantonment site area operation Commander, Cde Lok Tang Reat says, the unagreed sharing of the military cantonment area making by the SSPDF, is totally and incompetent and  seem to be the violations of cessation of the hostilities and will wage the heavy breathing at the Khartoum Peace Agreement (#KPA) if without a watchful eye from the Peace mediators. South Sudan President to visit Pope Francis on March 15th 2019.

Mark Kidima who is the Nuncio of Pope or the Catholic Church to South Sudan confirms that President Salva Kiir will visit Pope Francis at the Vatican Next Month.  Nuncio in simple word is a diplomatic ambassador or a seer of all Catholic activities in every Country.  He added that the team from South Sudan will be expected in the Vatican city on March 15th  and the president will officially meet the pope on 16th March 2019. He adds that the advance team of the president will reach Rome on March 12, 2019. He has not yet disclosed why South Sudan President Salva Kiir will be going to the Vatican city to meet the pope.  More to follow shortly....

One (1) Killed and Two (2) Critically Wounded In Yambio Club Shootout.

Unknown gunmen killed one (1) man a national security officer and two others seriously injured in a critical condition as per now. Mr.  Enoka the state Information Minister said that "Unknown gunman yesterday hid himself and started shooting at a place of disco. And at the place, a national security soldier called Israel Faustino was shot dead." Mr.  Khamis one of the critically injured person was working as a personal bodyguard to the governor of the state (Gbudue). The other injured was a slay queen identified as Rose who works at the club. So far no one has been apprehended and thorough investigation is underway by the Criminal Investigation Department of Gbudue State.  The motive behind the attack is still unclear and no one has taken responsibility of the attack.  More to follow shortly... 

South Sudan Soldier Kills Wife In Eastern Lakes State

South Sudan People Defense Force Soldier in Lakes State has murdered his wife in cold blood according to the witness and neighbors. Mr.  Taban Abel the State Minister was quoted by Juba Wire as he was he speaking to Eye Radio.  He said that “A soldier from SSDF [last] evening at around 7:30 PM had a quarrel with his wife. He immediately used his gun and shot the woman, killing her instantly.” The neighbors said that the quarrel started first because the wife was unable to provide food for the hungry husband who came from work.  After the quarrel over food the quarrel escalated to the conjugal right when the wife also denied the husband leading to the husband shooting the wife point blank on the spot. It was alleged that the husband who goes by the name Mr.  Gai Bol is also a heavy cannabis addict and also a drunkard this might have distorted his thinking ability resulting to the death of his wife since he was not of a sound mind.  More to follow shortly…

Gathoth Gatkuoth Stages a Coup against Taban Deng Gai

Mr. Gathoth Gatkuoth and Otim Okot today held a press conference declaring that they have deposed Taban Deng Gai as the chair of his faction of splm-IO. That means Taban Deng Gai is no longer the chairman and the leader of the SPLM-IO splinter group that split from the original SPLM-IO of Dr. Riek Machar.  In a statement released by the two and seen by Juba Wire the two said they have written to the president to express that they have lost confidence in Taban and that he should be replaced as First Vice President with immediate effect. Fierce Fighting In Leer Town Between SSPDF soldiers has left a general dead

Fierce fighting among the SSPDF troops in Leer town of South Sudan's Unity state has left a government general dead on Saturday. Nyuon Joseph have told the eye radio. Nyuon added that as the result of that fighting  Maj. Gen. Biel Gai malual was killed and the cause of their fighting in Leer town is return cows which have been looted from civilians and the  argue came between themselves so from there, other soldiers they said those cows should be return to their  owners, some of them they don't want those cows to be  return back to their owners and other started to divided cows on spot. Sweden Consulate Expresses Deep Concern About Rape Cases In South Sudan

South Sudan government and its soldiers have set an unprecedented record in which any government soldier who rapes a civilian can walk away scot free and be protected against any prosecution from the government of South Sudan. Mr. Hans Henric the SWEDEN ambassador to South Sudan has expressed deep concern about the rape cases in the country and the lack of action from the government against the perpetrators of rape. In his own words “I am also concern about many cases of sexual based violence in the country (South Sudan) and these must be prevented and action has to be taken.” He uttered the statement during the launch of the GBV (Gender Based Violence) under the umbrella of UNFPA. “Our programs aim at ending GBV and child marriage. South Sudan refugees in Rhino Camp Uganda have decided to make their anger be heard by the world and South Sudan mostly the female refugees. The refugees are calling upon the government of south Sudan and International community to help implement the revitalized peace agreement. The call by the female South Sudanese refugees came after a series of meeting between the refugees and the NGOs in Uganda. The refugees said that they are suffering in Uganda specifically Rhino refugee camp. The clashes in Yei River State has not gone unrecognized by the International Community. The European Union (EU) has decided to make their opinion heard on the current conflict in Yei River State between the three warring parties.  That is National Salvation Front (NAS) led by Thomas Cirilo who is leading the Equatoria community to fight for change in the country. South Sudan National Pre-transitional Committee Presents 300 Million Dollars Budget For The Transitional Period

South Sudan Council of Ministers today approved a budget of 300 million dollar that is supposed to facilitate the pre-national and the national transitional committee activities in the and outside the country. The budget is supposed to cover all its activities all various sectors in the country including the security sector and also the national amendment committee which will be working tirelessly to amend the South Sudan committee. The deputy Chairman of the NPTC National Pre-Transitional Committee Mr. Gabriel Changson said that the budget was approved due to the effort raised by the government and this made the NPTC to approve it. The budget will also constitute to the one day salary cut that was imposed to the public servants and the salary will be deducted for up to four months. The Catholic Diocese of Yei Bishop Erkolano Tombe today has declared that there is no peace in Yei River State. Due to the current ongoing conflict between the three arm forces including South Sudan Peoples Defence force (SSPDF), National Salvation Front (NAS) and South Sudan People Liberation Movement In Opposition (SPLM/A-IO ). The Bishop Erkolano Tomber uttered the statement at the comfort of his home on Sunday. South Sudan Rape Allegation Evidence: UN Pressure South Sudan Government To Take Action

South Sudan again is under the spotlight for the wrong reason due to the recent emergence of the latest rape allegations levelled against its soldiers. The previous known SPLMA was believed to have committed various atrocities in the Bentiu area and it was alleged that the government soldiers were using rape as a weapon against the uprising in greater Bentiu. The human right director (UNMISS) said that “If you are looking at the number of rape cases that we have already registered, it is more than 150, and basically – especially in this specific context where we had seen some decrease in terms of violations and abuses and rape cases somehow because of the signing of the revitalized peace agreement – it is really a pity to see that this [is] happening right now.”  Mr Nindorera was reiterating that despite the fact that there is already a revitalized peace agreement on the ground. South Sudanese man who turned into a woman has finally spoken about his need for man to settle with. The South-South Sudanese man who goes by the name Paul Gatnoor, has found men hard to come by in the western world. Paul Gatnoor who hails from the Nuer tribe in South Sudan has decided to turn into a female since she can’t withstand the pressure of being a man. He was born a man but deep inside him, he was having the genes of a woman. Transgender is the challenge that the gender in which one is given has birth is not the exact gender that one has. This means that people who are born male can identify themselves as female since they don’t have the genes of being a male, this is what Paul Gatnoor is undergoing. They are sometimes also in other words identified as the gender queer. This only means they can not be categorized as female or male.
