South Sudan’s Caretaker Minister of Presidential Affairs, Africano Mande Gedima, has held talks with Ethiopia’s Ambassador to South Sudan, Delil Kedir Bushra, on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. The meeting focused on diplomatic relations and cooperation, with the two officials also exchanging views on the current situation in South Sudan, Ethiopia and the wider region. Ambassador Delil Kedir said the discussions provided an opportunity to share perspectives on regional developments and matters of mutual interest. Angelina Teny and South Sudan First Lady To Hold Debate On Thursday Regarding Importance Of Women In South Sudan

Catholic University Of South Sudan on Thursday will host a high level panel
to look into:
1. The role that our mothers or Women play in the current peaceful process in South Sudan.

The high level panel debate is supposed to be a roadmap for the current peace process in South Sudan.

The debate will also look into Sexual Gender Based Violence.  This will be dealt with in accordance to the cessation of hostilities.

4. SUDD Institute and Lona James of Catholic University will exchange their views.

The First Lady of South Sudan Mary Ayen Mayardit is expected to be the guest of honor for the discussion to be moderated by Justice Ajonye Perpetua.

    It's clear challenge that our women have not yet take initially stage on how to overwhelm Illiteracy among themselves and prioritize children education when the men are busy on political struggling for power.
    Hence, it's very unfortunate to have situation in our country while other world are competing on development progression.
    Let's condone any impurity against each other and work hard towards nation buildings in order to disrupt such shame unhelpful situation within us.
    In South Sudan people expecting more changes from their government while in other states government expect people to reconcile, unite and live in harmony with one another.

Thirty Five (35) People Confirmed Dead In Kapoeta Flood.

Governor of Kapoeta Stats Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore confirmed to the media that after a heavy rain in Kapoeta on Tuesday 35 people lost their lives.  The same rain hit various parts of South Sudan like Duk in Jonglei whereby people also died.   Hon. Lobong said that "We lost about 35 people during the heavy rains that hit several counties in the state on 10 June, so this is what happened here."  He added that the flood destroyed people homes and even destroy the bridges.  “We are trying to create awareness among our people to control water-borne diseases,” he said. The flood affected the market in Kapoeta since it cleared all the food store in Kapoeta State. He added.  Finally he is calling out to the humanitarian organization to come and rescue his people plus the government too since many people are dire need of help.  More to come shortly....

Juba - Nimule: Two People Killed and Two Others Injured In A Road Ambush.

Two people were killed, and two others injured in a road ambush along the Juba-Nimule highway.  The travelers were among seven passengers heading to Juba on independence morning yesterday, when the Toyota Noah they were in, came under attack in Orobe village, Lowa Boma. Pageri county commissioner, Emilio Igga says the attackers sprayed their vehicle with bullets at close range.  Igga says the injured were rushed to Nimule health facilities for treatment and security has been stepped up in the area. The incident comes amid increased reports of attempted robberies along the same route. More to come shortly...
