Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Participating in Charitable events and thanksgiving in Churches.  For example in Lodwar Turkana County Arsenal Football Club attended  Deliverance Church where they donated 100 plastic chairs for Sunday school children. In the year 2010 all Arsenal Football Club fans launch the Arsenal Kenya Supporters club.  The group conducts charity work, holds tournaments, and manages various development projects within the society. Thousands of mourners were present at Medan Simba for the funeral prayers for the late Defence Minister Gen. John Kong who died in Nairobi on 26th December 2022.  President Kiir describe the late Gen. John Kong as a true friend and a selfless fighter during our struggle for freedom.  President Kiir further said eulogized the late Gen. Kong by saying the late general dedicated his life to struggle against marginalization and injustice.  He further said that the late Kong is a principled man who do not condone tribal politics but believed in diversity and coexistence among South Sudanese.  In the attendance were the First Vice President H. The decision by Kiir to sack SPLM-IO speaker Amer Ateny Alier has been condemn by the main opposition group in the country and terming it illegal.  No reason was given for revoking the SPLM-IO speaker of Jonglei State. The decree was issued on Tuesday this week.  SPLM-IO Director of Information Puok Baluang while speaking to the media said they are not contented with the decisions and calls for the president to reconsider his decision.  In Director Puok's own word quoted below “first of all, it is true that the decision made by President Salva Kiir to revoke the appointment of Rt. Hon. Speaker Amer Ateny Alier was a unilateral decision. Juba Police Have Arrested 44 Gang Members

3,500 Refugees Returned To Magwi County From Uganda Refugee Camps

The County of Magwi Eastern Equatoria State today received 3,500 refugees who have decided to returned back home from Uganda refugee camps, a relief official said. The returnees joined their families in Mugali, Nimule and Magwi a relief coordinator in the county said. He further said that the are in need of food and non food items and calls for the humanitarian aid immediately.   “If there is any kind of food distribution for some few months to those who returned will help them. Seeds distribution also should be early,”-He said.  One of the returnees called Santa Abalo said that: “we returned because the condition is worse there. What forced us to come is the issue of hunger. My children are hungry.” She further said that: “we need help because we don’t have shelters.
