Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. The colleague at SSBC TV Mr. Chol Duang reported to Facebook  Sleuths  of the alleged disappearance of his colleague.  "Journalist Garang John has disappeared since 11:00AM today; his contacts are unreachable and whereabouts unknown. I will share with you names and last contact of the person who called him before his disappearance,"-Chol Duang posts.  Garang's last FB post was today at 10:11AM an hour before his alleged disappearence.   Northern Bhar El Ghazal State lost two of its local officials after they were shot dead by suspected Miseriya Miliaria.  The two killed are: Santino Akech Angok a local Administrator and Arol Yai his Deputy, they were killed in Warguet Town. Hon. Kiir Your Lual the County Commissioner of Aweil East County said that a police officers was also wounded during the attack. “It was yesterday (Friday) morning, at around 7 AM where an attack occurred in a place called Warguet Town closer to the border with Sudan, resulting in the killing of a local government officer and his deputy and also two other persons got injured,” said the commissioner.   Today being Jan 8, 2023 devoted  Arsenal Football Club In Kenya held their Annual day of prayers across the country.  The day is dedicated for two purposes only: 1. Praying for the success of Arsenal Football Club. 2. Participating in Charitable events and thanksgiving in Churches.  For example in Lodwar Turkana County Arsenal Football Club attended  Deliverance Church where they donated 100 plastic chairs for Sunday school children. In the year 2010 all Arsenal Football Club fans launch the Arsenal Kenya Supporters club.  The group conducts charity work, holds tournaments, and manages various development projects within the society. According to the official club website, the group had over 300 registered members in 2017. South Sudan President Salva Kiir today join mourners to mourn our late former Minister of Defence General John Koang. Thousands of mourners were present at Medan Simba for the funeral prayers for the late Defence Minister Gen. John Kong who died in Nairobi on 26th December 2022.  President Kiir describe the late Gen. John Kong as a true friend and a selfless fighter during our struggle for freedom.  President Kiir further said eulogized the late Gen. Kong by saying the late general dedicated his life to struggle against marginalization and injustice.  He further said that the late Kong is a principled man who do not condone tribal politics but believed in diversity and coexistence among South Sudanese.  In the attendance were the First Vice President H. The Authorities suspected it might because of a mental breakdown that was why be committed the heinous crime. The deceased include his wife, (3) three girls and two boys aged between (4) four and Seventeen (17).  Friends and relatives of the deceased tried contacting them but they were not able to be reached so this prompt the police to go and investigate and they found the bodies.  “Evidence suggests that the suspect took his own life after killing seven others in the home,” a statement from the city authorities. “It appears, according to court documents, that (a divorce petition) was filed on the 21st of December and it was filed by the wife,”--Enoch Mayor Geoffrey Chesnut told AFP. Enoch is a rural city of around 7,500 people in the southwest of Utah. It sits about a three-and-a-half hours’ drive from Salt Lake City.

Another Fresh Clashes Have Broken Out In Likuangole GPAA

It was alleged that the armed youths of Jonglei State have retreated days ago, now  Likuangole of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area is under fresh attacks local officials said.  The Clashes in GPAA started on Christmas Eve last year Bich Bich village was exhume by armed youths from Jonglei State. It was believed that the Armed Youths from Jonglei started to withdraw just earlier this week.  Simon Peter a local official in GPAA shocked the nation by saying another group is attacking GPAA as Jonglei State armed youths started to withdraw. “As Jonglei youth started withdrawing from parts of Gumuruk, another group started attacking Likuangole County. The attack started two days ago in Lokirimach Payam. They proceeded to an area called Nyang where fighting is ongoing.”-Simon Peter. Government Urged To Deploy Troops To Jonglei and GPAA

A local official has asked the National Government to dispatch troops to all the conflict hotzones specifically  Jonglei State and Greater Pibor Administrative Area to avert further conflicts in the region.  The official calls on the government to deploy enough troops in the borders of the warring States.   SSPDF spokesman Maj. Gen. SPLM-IO Condemn President Kiir Decision To Sack Jonglei State Speaker

The decision by Kiir to sack SPLM-IO speaker Amer Ateny Alier has been condemn by the main opposition group in the country and terming it illegal.  No reason was given for revoking the SPLM-IO speaker of Jonglei State. The decree was issued on Tuesday this week.  SPLM-IO Director of Information Puok Baluang while speaking to the media said they are not contented with the decisions and calls for the president to reconsider his decision.  In Director Puok's own word quoted below “first of all, it is true that the decision made by President Salva Kiir to revoke the appointment of Rt. Hon. Speaker Amer Ateny Alier was a unilateral decision. The SPLM-IO did not recommend that decision according to the 2018 Agreement,”   “Therefore, it is illegal and a great violation of the R-ARCSS.
