Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Over 1500 Flee Kidepo Valley County Due To Hunger

Over 1500 residents of Kidepo Valley County of Imatong State commonly known as Their State.  Most of the fleeing residents fled to Kenya and some to Kenya respectively.    Peter Lokeng Lotone the Commissioner of Kidepo Valley County said that “The food security in Kidepo Valley is really alarming since 2018. People are suffering, people don’t harvest until today, the delay of the rain and other circumstances make the communities to flee out from the state to different Countries like Uganda and Kenya”.   He added that "In Kidepo Valley County, the security situation is calm since we had a meeting of UNMISS Civil Affairs Division and UNDP till today when they meet the seven Counties of Torit state and Kapoeta state and we manage to follow the resolutions made by the communities."    He is urging the people of South Sudan to take agriculture seriously and calls the humanitarian agencies to support the people in South Sudan in relations to Agriculture, education

South Sudan Minister Of Foreign Affairs Sacks 40 Diplomats

South Sudan Minister of Foreign Affairs today opted to sack 40 foreign diplomats who have failed to report to their duty stations. Attached above is the list consisting of the sacked diplomats from their duty station by the foreign affairs ministry. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sacked 40 diplomats for being absent without leave. In a public circular the Ministry said the named diplomats have failed to report for duty despite repeated calls. South Sudan Army Begins Gun Search Within Juba Ahead Of SPLM/A

South Sudan Army Spokesperson Major General Lul Ruai Koang Confirmed that the current ongoing gun search in the Capital City Juba is part of the preparation of SPLA day which was postponed up-to Thursday next week.   He also insisted that the major gun search in Juba was as part of security beefing up the security in Juba ahead of the big day.  He said that “A national holiday brings big crowds together, people of all walks of life, and when there are large crowds of people it is always essential for security precautionary measures to be taken, so that some evil minded people do not plan evil things against us. President Salva Kiir Again Asked Dr. Riek Machar To Return To Juba

South Sudan President Salva Kiir Repeated his earlier request for Dr.  Riek Machar to return to Juba and help in implementation of the peace agreement.  Just last four weeks ago South Sudan President invited Riek Machar to come home to implement the transitional government which Dr. Riek Machar declined because of security reasons.   Speaking this morning in during the transitional legislative assembly the President reiterated that “In the spirit of this peace agreement and our experience in Rome I once more extend my invitation to Dr. Riek Marcher to return home. I have completely forgiven him and all I ask from him is to become a peace partner for he is no longer my opponent, we have agreed and then we have to work together” So we expect Riek Machar in Juba by November when he requested for the six months extension to form the interim government.  More to follow shortly.... 

South Sudan Council Of Ministers Approved Over Three Million USD For treatment Of SSPDF

South Sudan Council of Ministers approves a budget of over Three (3) Million Dollars to cater for the wounded South Sudan People Defense Force (SSPDF).  Over 250 soldiers wounded had been identified an they needed a proper medical attention. The meeting was attended by 10 ministers chaired by President Salva Kiir.  Michael Makuei the Minister of Information said that “It was found that it’s very important that wounded heroes are treated because without being treated definitely we will be neglecting a very important part of our society, very important part of the army and as such it’s decided that this  wounded heroes to be given necessary attention and money is paid for their treatment. So the amount which was requested for the treatment of the 281 wounded heroes is the sum of 3, 211, 571 USD or in other words in South Sudanese Pound its 500,463,811 SSP, the amount was approved and the minister of finance was directed to release this amount.” The question the civilians are a

21 Nurses Arrested For Violent Strike in Yirol

Nurses working in Yirol Civil Hospital have been arrested for violently protesting in Yirol by the Authorities.  The Nurses have violently attacked the foreign doctors working in Yirol because their salary had been deducted by 70 percent.  The Deputy Governor of Eastern Lakes State Mr. Taban Abel said that they tried to find an amicable solution to the issue but it was all in vain.   The Deputy Governor said that “The strike by the medical staff of Yirol hospital was because of salary pay cut which was reduced by the NGO that used to contribute to what is call the Health Pool Fund. So they had a budget deduction and they tried to harmonize the pay across the country and was resolved to serious deduction of their pay which was 75%. The medical staff decided to go on strike without even notifying us. We wanted to approach them by very peaceful means. Night Clubs Has Been Banned In Juba

Jubek state has banned all the night clubs, bars and night music shows in Juba city, this came after the meeting between President Salva Kiir and the Jubek State Governor Augustino Jadalla Wani at the State House on Saturday. Governor Augustino Jadalla Wani said, due to immoral acts being carried out at the night bars, the state government has issued gubernatorial decree to cease the operation of the night clubs in the country. Seven (7) High Way Robbers Arrested In Tonj Rumbek Road

The Governor of Tonj State said that the robbers who used to ambush vehicles have been arrested On the road to Rumbek and they are seven in total.  The governor further added that the criminals are now being questioned to reveal where the others are since some managed to escape.  Mr. Mathiang who is the governor of Tonj is assuring the safety of the drivers and the passengers since the road is now safe.  High robbery has been very rampant in South Sudan since the beginning of the civil war in South Sudan.  More to follow shortly...   

Fire Outbreak In Aweil East State. Four Confirmed Dead

South Sudan Red Cross confirmed that 4 people died in a fire related incident in two villages of Aweil East State.   On Sunday it was also confirmed that 40 people died of firestorm in Lol State and this story is a separate one.   The fire incident of Aweil East is related to the firestorm that claimed over 40 lives in Lol State. Mr.  Peter Kuot who works for the Red Cross said that the firestorm that started in Korok extended to Aweil East.   Mr. Duot confirmed that “The one of Aweil East is the same disaster that has extended to Aweil East in parts of Mayom Akout and Mangar Akwech. So it has also destroyed houses there. At least four people are confirmed dead and around 20 households destroyed.” Finally he is calling for humanitarian support for the victims. Over 10 Protesting Students Arrested In Rumbek National Secondary School

Over ten students were arrested in Rumbek National Secondary School and two other teachers over protest.  The students claimed that they were not taught since February.  The students also claimed that they notified the school principal that the Dean Of Studies must resigned but there was no response from the school body. Failure of the Dean Of Studies resign triggered the strike by the students. Later on when things got out of hand the Dean Of Studies Mr. Mabeny Martin had no option but to resign.  The school Principal also accused the Deputy Dean Of Studies of instigating the strike since he believe the strike was not because of lack of teachers.  The school is now closed for 3 days as the school board the community is handling the situation.  More to follow shortly....

Fire Outbreak Killed Over 50 People In Lol State

A fire outbreak in Lol State claimed the lives of over 50 people in Korok Lol State and several others injured.  The cause of the fire outbreak was because of a windstorm when the resident were sleeping innocently at night.   According to one of the witness Mr.  Garang Mawien he said that “After everyone was in bed, the fire started burning down the huts. They woke up to realize that their houses were on fire.”  Majority of the victims were reportedly children and the elderly who succumbed to first degree burns as they were being rushed to hospital in Aweil. The elderly and small children were the victims of the fire outbreak. Tonj Civil Hospital Closed Due To Low Salary Payment

South Sudan National Staff working in Tonj Civil Hospital quit work due to law salary payment.  The three hundred staffs cites also poor working condition is as one of the reason they decided to quit work.   The State Director of Health Mr. John Akot Tong said that the government issued a circular to confirm the closure of the hospital.  The Civil hospital has 470 staffs of which 92 are government employees and the rest are CCM employees.    He explains that 470 health personnel were working in 36 facilities, but 92 staff are government employees and 378 are CCM employees.   CCM had no budget to pay for the 378 staffs and the government also confirmed that they had no money to pay for them as well leading to the closure of the hospital.  He urges the people of tonj to be patient as the government is trying to solve the issue  More to follow shortly.... 

United Nations Condemn The Action Of South Sudan National Security

 United Nations commonly known as the UN said that South Sudan National Security has not been operating within the Law and the torture the civilians of South Sudan are facing at their hands is unlawful  The statement came after a leaked report that the National Security Service Murdered Idri, Luak and Ajai.  The UN experts said that  "a significant threat to last September’s peace agreement by allegedly killing two government critics and arresting others." South SudanArmy Oppose The Proposed Number Of Presidential Protection Unit

The demand by the IO for 12,000 joint unit force for the protection of the Vice President which financially is impossible says SSPDF.  The revitalized peace agreement calls for a joint VIP protection force comprising of both the SSPDF and the IO the only loophole left was the number of the protection Unit was not specified.  He added that "Currently, a government-formed troop comprising of 350 soldiers is waiting for its SPLA-IO counterpart at the Rajaf Police Academy to embark on training exercises." “Our position is that in theory, we are in agreement with SPLAM- IO but in practice, it’s very difficult for a force of between 10 to 12000 to be cantoned.” adds SSPDF spoke person.  “To be subjected through selection processes to be trained, deployed within the stipulated period of time will pose a huge logistical, financial, infrastructural and trained manpower challenges, as well as time,” he added. Aggrey Idri and Dong Samuel Luak Were Executed By The National Security

A leaked UN report says that Dong Samuel Luak and Aggrey Idri were executed by the National Security on the 30th 2017. The two were executed on the orders of the  Director of Internal Security Bureau Lt Gen Akol Koor Kuc. The report states the two men were killed on the 30th of January 2017 at Luri Military Complex 20km west of Juba. The report said the two disappeared on the 23rd and 24th of January and transported on the 27th to Juba aboard a plane chartered with the help of South Sudan Embassy in Nairobi. They were held at Blue House and then transferred at night to Luri Military Complex. They were executed three days later on orders of ISB Central Division commander who was acting on orders from LTGEN Akol Koor according to the report. Soldier Killed All His Family Over Bride Price In Wau

Wau State witness another murder when a soldier decided to end the existence of all his family members due to bride price.   Wau State Officer Mr. David Ubong was asked to pay dowry in-order  to stay with their daughter this triggered the soldier to kill his three children, the wife and himself.  It was also believed that the relatives asked for also some money or lose the custody of his children and wife.   A relative Mr. Dominic Ujamo “I knew it was something very small that would have not reached this situation that we are in.”  More to follow shortly.... 

South Sudan Government Paid American Lobby Firm USD 3.7 Million To Block Hybrid Court

South Sudan Government has signed a two year contract with an American lobby firm called “The Gainful Solutions” to: (1) Open communication channels between President Kiir and President Trump with an aim of persuading Trump and his government to expand economic and political relations and support USA’s private sector investment in oil, mining etc in South Sudan. (2) Improve USA — South Sudan bilateral relationship. (3) Persuade Trump administration to lift sanctions and block any other pending sanctions. (4) Delay and ultimately block Hybrid Court envisaged in the peace agreement. (5) Mobilise USA companies to invest in South Sudan. (6) Persuade Trump administration to open military relation with South Sudan to fight terrorism and enhance regional stability. The contract is worth $3.7 million US dollars. Girl In Yirol Beaten To Death For Refusing To Marry

Yirol people today and South Sudan at large are saddened by the news of a 20 year old girl who was beaten to death for refusing to marry a suitor that had been arranged by the parents.   Taban Abel, Minister of Information in Eastern Lakes, told Radio Tamazuj Friday parents forced the girl to marry a man who offered 40 cows to the family as dowry. The State Information Minister Mr Taban Abel confirmed that the parents of the deceased girl forced her to marry a man who tabled an offer 50 cows as a dowry to the family.   After the girl rejected the suitor this forced his own brothers to beat him as a form of disciplining.   In his own words he said that “The father was one who ordered people to kill his daughter because she refused to get married. National Salvation Front Spoke person Reports that Heavy fire and Heavy fighting has Erupted between The National Salvation Front and the SSPDF in Yei-Maridi Road after Government Troops came under Military ambush resulting in the loss of 5 SSPDF Officers and several soldiers suffering deadly casualties as they were airlifted to Gorom Military Hospital for treatment. 5 AK-47 Captured in good condition by the National Salvation Front. He further added that on the 22nd of April ,2019 Government troops attacked NAS bases in Kojiko and Morobo County but we’re repulsed with heavy shillings.  We are monitoring this developing situation in Central and Western Equatoria Closely. Abducted Children Rescued From Boma State

Boma State Authorities confirmed today that the seven children abducted by the Murle were rescued. The  Deputy Governor of Boma State Said that “The two boys were handed over to Jonglei and Kapoeta authorities so that they are united with their parents. And as we speak now, we recovered five of eleven children abducted from Bieh State. They are with the commissioner of Likuangole” The Deputy Governor insisted that the State is committed to end the rampant child abduction in the State.  Boma State is notoriously known for Child Abduction cases and cattle raids which had left them at loggerhead with the neighboring communities. 

Major General Stephen Buay Pleads His Innocence In The Military Court Today.

Major General Stephen Buay ordeal continues as he was again tried today in the Juba by the military court for treason and other lesser charges levelled against him.  Here is the list of the other minor charges levelled against him by the state: Disobedience of direct order from the HQ office in Juba and also Violation of a standing orders from the HQ also.  The General denied all this allegations citing that the charges against him are politically motivated. The government spokesperson Major General Lul Ruai Kong Said that “The second session he called part B, covered the grudges he had with different political leaders from Mayom County… with military generals from Bul Nuer community.”  The case has been adjourned up to Thursday.  More to follow shortly.... 

A Major South Sudanese Protest Underway In Juba

A South Sudanese Youths due to launch a major demonistration in Juba tommorow. Its already kickoff in Wau and Yei. In Malakal and Rumbek expected tommorow. According to the one of the protesters in Wau Hon: Akoon Athian says, South Sudanese people across the country are likely to come out from door to door and prostest for the steepping down of Salva Kiir who has been jeopardising our living standards for so long. Demonistration activists in Yei say, the nation needs to adopt the Sudanese claim in Khartoum as another mechanism for the resignation of this incompetence President Gen. Salva Kiir, no matter who are going to be shot in the streets of Juba, but those will remain shall enjoy the freedom this country! More to follow shortly....

Western Equatoria Governor Murdered 4 Youths Because Of Supporting (NAS) National Salvation Front

Today the Western Equatoria Governor Patrick Raphael Zamoi Kills 4 (Four)Youth accused of Supporting National Salvation Front Leaked information- The Governor of Gbudwe State in Western Equatoria was unsatisfied with the youth of the local community who were accused of aiding the rebellion of Former Deputy Chief of Staff General Thomas Cirrilo. 4 (four) Youth have been arrested in Gbudwe two days ago , yesterday evening the Governor instructed his security personnel to go into the prison and bring him the youth who were arrested, the security followed the orders and brought the youth to the Governors residence in Gbudwe where they were shot execution style by Governor Patrick Zamoi. The bodies was taken to Mabia the same night and the following morning family members were informed. The same Governor was accused last month by the local population of killing and accusing civilians of joining NAS. Dead bodies are being dumped in Mupoi and Ri-Yubu Road for families to collect.

Children Below 18 Years Will Not Be Arrested For Crimes They Committed But Their Parents Will Be Arrested Says South Sudan Police

The South Sudan Police Confirmed today that the force will not arrest children below 18 years but would rather arrest the parents.   Mr. David Bol Maguang a police investigator reiterated this point to the police of Tonj amid rumors that the South Sudan Police Force is arresting under age children who committed crimes.  He further said that any child who commits a crime the parents of the child will be held accountable since the law of the country does not allow jail time for underage children.  Finally,  he gave advise to the parents to be responsible for their children or else they will face the law.     More to follow shortly.... 

Breaking News: Alcohol Sold In Sachets Banned In Yei River State.

The Mayor of Yei Municipality issued yesterday an order banning all alcohol sold in sachets. Most of this alcohol sold in sachets are imported from Uganda.   Mr.  Alfati Morgan said those alcohol are cheap and tempting children to drink.  The statement came after a research showed some traces of iron in those sachets alcohol from Uganda.   Further more he is urging the grownups to protect the children from taking those alcohol or any type of alcohol.   Finally, he issued a warning to the people selling and buying the alcohol. Breaking News: Major General Stephen Buay Charged With Treason

The army GHQs has said that General Major Stephen Buay Rolnyang has been charged with treason during a court-martial. MGEN Buay was captured last year after a brief fight with forces sent to arrest him. He was accused of trying to defect from the army. He was today charged with treason, disobeying a lawful order, violation of standing military orders and dereliction of duty according to the army spokesman. The trial continues.

Hon. Michael Makuei Branded The Other Opposition Groups As 'Parasites'

On Friday South Sudan Minister of Information, Michael Makuei has cautioned the large number of opposition members living in some of the most expensive hotels. The expensive Hotels in the country to prepare for their own survival in May after the transitional agreement comes into force. Hon. Makuei who spoke to the press on after their cabinet symposium said, colloquially, that the government will not continue to accommodate those parasites in two months time. South Sudan National Police Arrested 53 Drug Dealers In Gumbo Juba

South Sudan National Police in jubek state today arrests 53 South Sudanese youth of both sexes in Gumbo Juba. The Youth Arrested are believed to be commonly known as the niggas who has been terrorizing Gumbo. The Niggas were arrested yesterday during an operation at gumbo, the operations was intended to round up wrong elements in the community says one of the police officers who spoke to Juba Wire. The Juba Police department got a tip that people vending marijuana and other related drugs in some of the lodges in Gumbo which prompted police to carry out normal operation for security concerns. Fighting Erupts In Wau State

The State Minister Is assured the Wau Netizens/Citizens that the government is in control of the situation that happened in Kwarjina Wau. The State Minister who is identified as Madut Chan said the situation was volatile but the government has managed to curb it after Cattle Keepers and Farmers fought.  The fight happened at Kwarjina leading to scores being displaced from their homes and countless also injured. Mr.  Michael Madut is calling for humanitarian team in the country to support the people who are currently  displaced from their homes by giving them shelter and some basic humanitarian assistance. Lol State: Ere County Officials Complain About Lack Of Teachers In The County

Lol State in South Sudan for a very long time has lacked teachers to teach their children.  A case scenario is the one of Ere County which is also part of the greater Lol State,  the County officials finally decided to make their voices heard. Mr.  Abakar Dukumi the head of Ere County said that "We are facing a severe shortage of teachers. We lack facilities but the school is operational despite the challenges." The commissioner insisted that with no teachers in his County means a catastrophe for all of South Sudan . Apart from lack of teachers the County also lack trained Medical Personnel this leads to high level of mortality in the County.  He his calling out to the donors and the National government to come and help his County from the looming catastrophe .
