Tonj Civil Hospital Closed Due To Low Salary Payment



South Sudan National Staff working in Tonj Civil Hospital quit work due to law salary payment.  The three hundred staffs cites also poor working condition is as one of the reason they decided to quit work.  

The State Director of Health Mr. John Akot Tong said that the government issued a circular to confirm the closure of the hospital. 

The Civil hospital has 470 staffs of which 92 are government employees and the rest are CCM employees. 
 
He explains that 470 health personnel were working in 36 facilities, but 92 staff are government employees and 378 are CCM employees.
 
CCM had no budget to pay for the 378 staffs and the government also confirmed that they had no money to pay for them as well leading to the closure of the hospital. 

He urges the people of tonj to be patient as the government is trying to solve the issue
