13 Killed in Jonglei Clashes Over Disputed Fishing Ground.

‎Jonglei State, South Sudan. At least 13 people have been killed and more than 20 others injured in renewed communal clashes between the Hol and Ayual communities in Jonglei State, officials confirmed on Thursday. ‎ ‎The deadly fighting broke out on Wednesday at Bioth-Agany Fishing Island, a disputed area between Duk and Twic East counties, after armed youth from the Hol community of Duk reportedly launched an attack on the island currently claimed by the Ayual community of Twic East. ‎ ‎Twic East County Commissioner Juach Arok Juach stated that seven people from his community were killed, seven others wounded, and four remain missing. He added that Hol youth are still occupying the area and tensions remain high. ‎ ‎On the other side, Duk County Commissioner John Chatim confirmed six deaths and 14 injuries among the Hol community.  ‎ ‎“We are urging our youth to cease fighting and allow the government to take over the matter and investigate. Heavy Fighting Has Erupted Between Government Forces (SSPDF) And National Salvation Front (NAS) In Yei River State

National Salvation Front Spoke person Reports that Heavy fire and Heavy fighting has Erupted between The National Salvation Front and the SSPDF in Yei-Maridi Road after Government Troops came under Military ambush resulting in the loss of 5 SSPDF Officers and several soldiers suffering deadly casualties as they were airlifted to Gorom Military Hospital for treatment. 5 AK-47 Captured in good condition by the National Salvation Front.

He further added that on the 22nd of April ,2019 Government troops attacked NAS bases in Kojiko and Morobo County but we’re repulsed with heavy shillings.  We are monitoring this developing situation in Central and Western Equatoria Closely.

Also, IGAD has shown positive signs to assist President Salva Kiir in implementing the R-ARCSS on time 02-03 May, 2019 TGONU.

Cueibet County Commissioner Arrested Amid Rising Political Tensions in Lakes State ‎

Former Commissioner of Cueibet County of Lakes State, Deng Mario Deng. Ugandan Troops Accused of War Crimes in South Sudan: Civil Society Demands ICC Action

 ‎ UPDF.  A South Sudanese campaign group, the Reclaim Campaign, has submitted a formal request to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate alleged atrocities committed by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) during their incursion into Upper Nile State in March 2025. ‎ ‎The group alleges that the UPDF carried out indiscriminate bombings, used chemical weapons, and targeted civilians particularly from the Nuer ethnic group while operating inside South Sudanese territory without the consent of the transitional government.  ‎ ‎According to the campaign, these actions could constitute war crimes, crimes against humanity, and acts of aggression under the Rome Statute. ‎ ‎The Reclaim Campaign's petition also claims that the Ugandan government has shown no willingness to hold its military accountable, making a case for the ICC to intervene.  ‎ ‎The group cited statements by Ugandan officials that allegedly dehumanize South Sudanese citizens and promote et...
