The Deputy Governor of Eastern Lakes State Mr. Taban Abel said that they tried to find an amicable solution to the issue but it was all in vain.
The Deputy Governor said that “The strike by the medical staff of Yirol hospital was because of salary pay cut which was reduced by the NGO that used to contribute to what is call the Health Pool Fund. The medical staff decided to go on strike without even notifying us. We wanted to approach them by very peaceful means.
