Nineteen '19' year old woman committed suicide in Lakes State, Rumbek East County

  The local police of Lakes State confirmed that a 19 year old woman committed suicide in the County of Rumbek East in the village of Meen-Wal and the police withheld the deceased name for unknown reason.  This is not the first time for the young girls to commit suicide in the State, the first case was reported to the authorities  two days ago after a young girl committed suicide in Wulu County.  While speaking to the Media, Police Spokesperson Maj. Elijah Mabor Makwach said that, the police are conducting thorough investigation on why there is a rampant rise of suicide amongst girls in Lakes State.  “We have recorded several cases of suicide with the most recent being a 19-year-old girl who committed a suicide in Meen-wal village in Rumbek East County and the investigation is still ongoing to identify the cause of the suicide because the cases are rising. Seven (7) High Way Robbers Arrested In Tonj Rumbek Road



The Governor of Tonj State said that the robbers who used to ambush vehicles have been arrested On the road to Rumbek and they are seven in total. 

The governor further added that the criminals are now being questioned to reveal where the others are since some managed to escape. 

Mr. Mathiang who is the governor of Tonj is assuring the safety of the drivers and the passengers since the road is now safe. 

High robbery has been very rampant in South Sudan since the beginning of the civil war in South Sudan.
