President Kiir, Museveni Strengthen Bilateral Ties, Pledge Regional Stability

President Kiir, President Museveni and VP. After a successful one in December 2018. Applications for the 2nd #YALI South Sudan Entrepreneurship Workshop is now open! to all South Sudanese who meet the criteria below. The one-week workshop suits South Sudanese entrepreneurs who are looking for an opportunity to sharpen their management and entrepreneurial skills. Applications are accepted as of  today April 24, through April 30th. Interested candidates should send their updated CV and cover letter to acornerjuba@gmail.com  Alternatively you can drop a hard copy at the American Corner Juba, which is located inside the University of Juba main library. 
Applicants must be:
• South Sudanese
• Between the ages of 18 - 35 years old
• Have good command of spoken and written English
• A starter or already running small scale business activities
• An excellent team worker
• Knowledgeable and have excellent  command of MS Ward and MS Excel
• Passionate to take the lead in addressing unemployment through entrepreneurial enterprise

NSS uniform.  ‎A 33-year-old officer of South Sudan’s National Security Service died by suicide over the weekend in Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria State. ‎ ‎Magwi County Crime Officer, Kochi Richard Joseph, confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred around 7:30 PM. The National Security Service (NSS) announced the move, stating that reintegrating the defectors into the government army is essential for stability and peace. ‎ ‎David John Kumuri, NSS spokesman, emphasized the importance of this process, saying, ‎"This reintegration is key to reducing violence and ensuring security across the country." ‎ ‎This marks the third mass defection of SPLA-IO members in recent weeks, following clashes in Nasir, Upper Nile State, last month. Raila Odinga and President Kiir.  ‎Kenya’s former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s attempt to meet with South Sudan’s First Vice President Riek Machar in Juba has failed after President Salva Kiir declined the request. Machar remains under house arrest amid an ongoing investigation into the killing of a top general, a move that has further inflamed tensions in the country. ‎Odinga, who was on a mediation mission to de-escalate rising political tensions in South Sudan, met with President Kiir on Friday.
